On Friday Morning, 29 May 2026, the General Secretariat of the Commercial Gambling Management Commission of Cambodia (CGMC) convened a meeting to review the progress of previous inspections of casino premises and to discuss the preparation of action plan for the renewed inspection and reassessment of casino conditions, in order to strengthen the effectiveness, quality, safety, and public order in the management of the commercial gambling sector in Cambodia.

The meeting was chaired by H.E. Dr. YETH Vinel, Secretary General of the CGMC, and was attended by directors of departments and officials of the CGMC.

On May 28, 2026, H.E. Dr. YETH Vinel, Secretary General of the Commercial Gambling Management Commission of Cambodia (CGMC), the Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the Ad Hoc Commission for Combating Online Scams (CCOS) and the Chairman of the 2nd Working Group of the Mixed Task Force under the Secretariat of the CCOS, convened a meeting to review the progress of the implementation of Royal Government Command No. 01 dated July 14, 2025, concerning the campaign to eliminate online scam activities within the four coastal provinces, namely Preah Sihanouk Province, Koh Kong Province, Kampot Province, and Kep Province. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Provincial Unified Commands, the Prosecution Offices attached to the Provincial Courts of First Instance, and the Provincial Courts of First Instance of all four provinces, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, and the Cambodia Financial Intelligence Unit. The meeting focused on three key agenda items: (1) reviewing the progress of reviewing and evaluating locations that were sealed due to online scam activities; (2) the progress of the implementation of measures that have been put for each case, and (3) the supports given to combatting SCAM ONLINE at the 4 provinces.

On Wednesday afternoon, 27 May 2026, H.E. Dr. YETH Vinel, Secretary-General of the Commercial Gambling Management Commission of Cambodia (CGMC), Vice Chairman of the Secretariat of the Ad Hoc Commission for Combating Online Scams, and Head of Working Group No. 2 of the Inter-Ministerial Task Force under the Secretariat of the Ad Hoc Commission for Combating Online Scams, led his delegation in a meeting with H.E. SOM Piseth, Governor of Kep Province and Chairman of the Unified Command of the Provincial Administration.

The meeting was organized to discuss the progress, challenges, and directions for strengthening the effectiveness of the implementation of Royal Government Command No. 01 on the campaign to eliminate online scams, as well as Sub-Decree No. 03 on security and safety management at concentrated residential locations in Kep Province, in order to ensure the complete eradication of all activities related to online scams.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Office of the Prosecutor attached to the Kep Provincial Court of First Instance, the Provincial Police Commissioner, the Royal Gendarmerie, municipal and district administrations, and relevant line departments around the Kep Provincial Administration.
