Phnom Penh, 05 October 2026 – The Philippine Embassy in Cambodia, in partnership with the Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK), organized a virtual webinar titled, β€œFinancial Literacy Session on Retail Treasury Bonds (RTBs),” on 05 October 2026 via Zoom.

In his welcome remarks, Ambassador-designate Senen T. Mangalile encouraged participants to take advantage of the webinar to learn more about building their savings and exploring investment opportunities. β€œThis is part of our underlying effort to ensure our kababayans are getting financial opportunities from relatively safe investments like RTBs,” the Ambassador-designate said.

The webinar featured Ms. Nanette JariΓ±o-Lati and Mr. Raphael Galang from the Overseas Filipino Services Department of LANDBANK, who conducted a financial education session and introduced the GoBayani Savings Account to participants. This was followed by a presentation from Mr. Jose Angelo Abad, Assistant Vice President of LANDBANK, who discussed Retail Treasury Bonds, including their features, benefits and available investment platforms.

The webinar culminated in a Q&A session during which participants raised questions about other investment platforms, as well as banking and remittance channels available to Filipinos in Cambodia.

Mangalile at the Philippine Embassy on 05 October 2026. They were accompanied by Mr. Arthur Fernandez of TOP Consulting Asia, Mr. Jeremy Chea of JHC Services Cambodia, Mr. Marc Calaunan of Healing Hands, and Mr Tim Montero of PhilCham Cambodia.

CarBEV, a Philippine electric mobility company, expressed interest in exploring business opportunities and establishing partnerships in Cambodia.

Ambassador-designate Mangalile welcomed CarBEV’s interest in the Cambodian market. He also shared relevant information on the country’s business environment and potential areas for business cooperation.

Mangalile received Mr. Kim Sony Mendoza, Head of International Business, and Ms. Michelle Medina, Export Supervisor, of Central Affirmative Company, Inc. (CACI), maker of Aficionado, during a courtesy call at the Philippine Embassy on 05 October 2026.

During the meeting, the Aficionado representatives briefed Ambassador-designate Mangalile on the objectives of their visit to Cambodia, which included conducting market sensing and exploring potential business opportunities in the Kingdom. They also presented selected Aficionado products.

Ambassador-designate Mangalile welcomed Aficionado’s interest in the Cambodian market and conveyed the Embassy’s support for the company’s business ventures in the Kingdom. He also highlighted business opportunities in Cambodia and the growing economic ties between the Philippines and Cambodia.

Phnom Penh, 05 October 2026 – The Philippine Embassy in Cambodia, led by Ambassador-designate Senen T. Mangalile, visited the facilities of Tropical Fruit Asia (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. (TFAC) in Kandal Province.

During the visit, TFAC’s Filipino executives, Mr. Gerry Salibongcogon, General Manager, and Mr. Benjie Mondejar, Operations Manager, briefed the Embassy on the company’s operations and activities in Cambodia, particularly its food processing and export operations. The briefing was followed by a tour of the company’s production facilities.

As part of the visit, the Embassy also conducted mobile overseas voter registration for Filipino employees of the company. Labor AttachΓ© Melvin Caseda of the Migrant Workers Office-Cambodia (MWO-Cambodia) likewise joined the visit to engage with Filipino workers and assess the working and living conditions.

Ambassador-designate Mangalile reaffirmed the Embassy’s support for Philippine companies in Cambodia, which contribute to strengthening economic ties between the two countries. Both sides also exchanged views on business strategies, market opportunities, and potential areas for cooperation.

Established in 2017, TFAC is engaged in the processing and export of tropical fruit products. The company’s operations in Cambodia serve international markets, including the Philippines, Japan, and the United States. END
