Farmer Livelihood Development - FLD

The Farmer Livelihood Development (FLD) Organization has been actively working to support farmers in Cambodia by providing training in climate-resilient agriculture and business practices. FLD helps farmers improve productivity, commercialize vegetable products, and enhance food security. FLD also focuses on community development, including hygiene, sanitation, and vocational training.

FLD supports farmers in Moung Reussei and Rukhakiri districts of Battambang province in showcasing their vegetable products, which are grown under the Climate Resilience for All (CREFA) project funded by the of Ireland in through in Cambodia.

Farmer Livelihood Development organization has been supporting vegetable farmers to organize the agricultural forum in Maung Reussei district to discuss the challenges and opportunities and set up the production improvement plan.

The Farmer Livelihood Development Organization promotes climate‑resilient agriculture to enhance vegetable production and improve the incomes of smallholder farmers in Cambodia.

The Farmer Livelihood Development Organization (FLD), under the Climate Resilience for All (CREFA) project funded by the Embassy of Ireland in Vietnam, awarded appreciation certificates to model farmers from Moung Reussey and Rukha Kiri districts in Battambang province.

Monitor the constructed compost house in Moung Reussei district under the Climate Resilience for All (CREFA) project. The homemade compost, made from farming debris, straw, cow manure, and other resources, has been applied to commercial vegetable farms in the targeted areas. The compost provides numerous benefits to farmers, such as reducing their reliance on chemical fertilizers, lowering production costs, and increasing on-farm income. We thank the Embassy of Ireland in Vietnam for providing funding support to the Farmer Livelihood Development Organization through OXFAM in Cambodia.

It is a great opportunity to engage with the Commune Council for Disaster Management (CCDM) of Kea, Borbos Meangkul, and Praek Chik communes in Moung Reussei and Rukhakiri districts, Battambang province. The discussion focused on the successes and challenges of implementing trained techniques in the Vulnerability Reduction Assessment and Mainstreaming Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion. This activity is part of the Climate Resilience for All (CREFA) project.

Monitor the solar water pump that was installed for a model farmer in Moung Reussei district under the Climate Resilience for All (CREFA) project. Farmer Livelihood Development Organization received funding support from the Embassy of Ireland to Vietnam through Oxfam in Cambodia to implement climate-smart agricultural activities in Kea, Rorbos Mongkul, and Praek Chik communes of Moung Reussei and Rukhakiri districts, Battambang province. The solar pump brings huge economic benefits through power regeneration.
