On December 16, 2025, GAEA Company stood alongside local authorities and affected families by contributing to environmental sanitation efforts in refugee camps across Siem Reap Province.
Recognizing that cleanliness is not a luxury but a basic human need, GAEA donated 1,000 garbage bags to the Siem Reap Provincial Department of Environment to support daily waste management, protect public health, and improve living conditions for displaced communities.

This small action reflects a larger commitment: solidarity, responsibility, and care for both people and the environment, working hand in hand with public institutions to support local communities, especially in moments of uncertainty. 💚🌱

Following a joint site visit on November 20, 2025, with officials from the Siem Reap Municipal Hall, Provincial Departments, CINTRI, and the World Bank, GAEA reiterates its strong engagement and commitment to Sustainable Waste Management and Environmental Safety at Siem Reap Landfill.

Our Contribution to a Cleaner Future:

-Operation Safety: Maintaining strict protocols for Safe Waste Transportation and Disposal, Compaction.
-Infrastructures Development: Continued improvement with road and unloading platform expansion, and improvement of the leachate drainage system to prevent flooding.
-Workers' Safety: We continue to provide essential protective equipment to employees and waste pickers.
-Awareness: We regularly conduct awareness programs on safety and risk prevention for the workers and the population.

Owners of garbage and solid waste of downtowns shall be responsible for waste packaging by a plastic bag or keeping their waste in a private bin with thorough manner, without any leaking, sipping of wastewater or emission of stink within the period of storage awaiting discharge consistent with guidance of capital, municipal, district and khan administration.
