Local i-Kiribati construction companies are working alongside Australian Army engineers from the 6th Engineer Support Regiment to deliver new accommodation within Australian Defence Force facilities in Tarawa. 🏗️
The accommodation will be used by Australian Defence Force personnel supporting the Australia-Kiribati Defence Cooperation Program, enabling the Kiribati Police Service Maritime Unit’s operation of Kiribati’s two Guardian-class Patrol Boats gifted by Australia. ⚓

We were pleased to attend a UNFPA hosted workshop with Members of Parliament ahead of the House of Parliament to discuss sexual and reproductive health and rights.

A team from the MOE Kiribati 📚, led by Director Reetina Katokita, has recently returned from the Federated States of Micronesia 🇫🇲 following a study tour at the National Department of Education. The visit focused on strengthening collaboration and peer learning 🤝, particularly around the Education Management Information System (EMIS) 📊. We are proud to support the Ministry of Education in building regional partnerships 🌏 and collaboration to strengthen data management and improve evidence‑based decision‑making. ✅
