The Immigration Department is the newest independent Law Enforcement agency in the Federation Christopher and Nevis, having separated from the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force in July 2018.
The Department is governed by the Immigration Act Cap. 6.02 of the Laws of St. Christopher and Nevis and other related laws.
As the face and attitude of our nation, you can rest assured that you will be greeted with a warm Caribbean smile and a pleasant island hello. However, we are constantly reminded that your safety and security is our number one priority and this responsibility will never waver. The Immigration Department unlock the doors to our beautiful Federation. Currently, our officers operate from six legal designated ports of entry, the R.L.B International Airport, Vance Amory International Airport, the Kayanjet private terminal, Port Zante, Charlestown Seaport and Marina Telca in New Guinea.
Our officers are highly trained and skilled; we pride ourselves in delivering quality service to our visitors and residents.

In the context of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy(CSME), The St. Kitts & Nevis Immigration Department
1. Facilitate the movement of CARICOM nationals
2. Ensure effective implementation of the compendium of laws implementing the Revised Treaty and other relevant legislation and administrative procedures relating to CARICOM nationals.
3. Collect and where applicable, analyze the necessary data relating to:
CARICOM nationals seeking to enter as Skilled Nationals
CARICOM nationals seeking to enter as Service Providers;
CARICOM nationals seeking to enter to start a company
CARICOM nationals seeking to enter as visitors and/or consumers of services;
CARICOM nationals refused entry on the basis that they are undesirable persons;
CARICOM nationals refused entry on the basis that they are likely to become a charge on the public funds.
4. Provide a high quality Customer service in order to develop their sense of belongingness

The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States came into being on June 18th 1981, when seven Eastern Caribbean countries signed a treaty agreeing to cooperate and promote unity and solidarity among the Members. The Treaty became known as the Treaty of Basseterre, named in honour of the capital city of Saint Kitts and Nevis where it was signed. The goal of the OECS is "To drive and support sustainable development through regional integration, collective action and development cooperation"

The St. Kitts & Nevis Immigration Department joins the Nation with sorrowful hearts, as we acknowledged the passing of His Excellency the Honorable Vance W. Amory on Saturday 2nd April. He was the second Premier of Nevis and ambassador of this great Federation.
He shall forever be in the hearts of the people of St. Kitts and Nevis and as we continue to treasure the National Monument of the Nevis Airport named in his honor. Be rest assured that people here and those entering by air would never forget the legacy of Vance W. Amory.
From the St. Kitts & Nevis Immigration Department we Salute a Fallen National Hero. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
