Memorial Day is a U.S. federal holiday dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of the brave men and women who
lost their lives while serving in the military.

Americans spend the day visiting cemeteries or war memorials to pay their respects, and Memorial Day Weekend has also evolved into a major cultural celebration with family and friends.

Take this day to remember the sacrifice of fallen soldiers
and celebrate the lives they once lived. 💙

the ship that saved 14,000 lives

Leonard LaRue, captain of the U.S. freighter 'SS Meredith Victory’
led the largest humanitarian evacuation ever recorded
by a single vessel during his service in the Korean War.

His leadership and selflessness shown during the Hungnam Evacuation embody the very essence of the ROK-U.S. Alliance and its promise to protect human life and freedom.

[MOFA] 2026 The 7th WeGo Supporters SNS Workshop 📱

On May 8th, the 7th WeGo Supporters attended a special
SNS Workshop designed to enhance their content creation skills!

The lecture covered a wide range of practical topics, and there was also a hands-on session where the Supporters created their own content.
The second part of the workshop featured a meaningful networking session with diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Please look forward to the amazing content and activities the Supporters will bring with their new knowledge and skills! 💙

[외교부] 2026 위고 서포터즈 7기 아이스브레이킹 행사 🧊

지난 4월 30일, 위고 서포터즈 7기가 서로 알아가고
친해질 수 있는 아이스브레이킹 행사가 열렸습니다!

서포터즈들은 ‘도전! 위고 골든벨’, ‘종이탑 쌓기’ 등
다양한 게임을 통해 서로를 더 깊이 알아가는 시간을 가졌는데요.
게임 중간중간에 준비된 맛있는 핑거 푸드를 즐기기도 하고,
미 국무부 외교관과 함께하는 특별 인터뷰 세션에
참여하는 뜻깊은 시간도 가졌답니다!

행사는 모두가 즐거운 분위기 속에서 마무리되었습니다.
올해 활동의 멋진 시작이었으며,
앞으로 서포터즈 여러분과 함께할 더 즐거운 활동들이 기대됩니다.

[MOFA] 2026 The 7th WeGo Supporters Ice Breaking Event 🧊

On April 30th, an Ice Breaking event for the 7th WeGo Supporters
took place so this year’s Supporters could get to know each other!

The Supporters had a chance to get to know each other more
through various games, such as ‘Challenge! WeGo Golden Bell’ and ‘Paper Tower Building.’ In between the games, they enjoyed delicious finger foods and even participated in a special interview session with a U.S. Department of State Diplomat, a truly meaningful time for everyone!

The event ended in high spirits. It was a wonderful start to
this year’s activities, and we are looking forward to even more
fun-filled activities with the Supporters.
