Veleposlaništvo Slovenije v Seulu/주한슬로베니아대사관 organised and hosted an event “Sounds of Bees on Canvas” dedicated to celebrating UN World Bee Day. It was a contemporary artistic performance, using bees as an inspiration and it was a networking event connecting Bees & Art with Bussines & Diplomacy in view of raising awareness of the importance of bees and biodiversity for the future of humans&Earth.

Today we visited esteemed Pohang Accelerator Laboratory and POSTECH which successfully cooperate with some Slovenian scientists and high tech companies. We presented our strong interest to even intensify the existing cooperation, including in the future Multipurpose Synchrotron Radiation Construction Project.

Dan slovenske hrane smo ponovno obeležili s tradicionalnim slovenskim zajtrkom, ki letos poteka pod sloganom »Kruh za zajtrk - super dan!«. s tem projektom že od leta 2012 krepi zavedanje o pomenu domače trajnostne samooskrbe, ohranjanja čistega in zdravega okolja ter zdrave prehrane.

Med za zajtrk na so letos prvič prispevale čebele, ki imajo dom v urbanem čebelnjaku 🐝 na strehi našega Veleposlaništvo Slovenije v Seulu/주한슬로베니아대사관. Veleposlaništvo skupaj s korejskim partnerjem Urban Seoul izvaja vse aktivnosti čebelje diplomacije. Med drugim skrbi za promocijo biotske raznovrstnosti, varovanja okolja, ozelenjevanja velikih stolpnic v mestu ter izvaja čebelarske izobraževalne projekte.

The third Friday in November is the day on which we celebrate Slovenian Food with a project known as the Traditional Slovenian Breakfast (bread, honey, butter, milk, apples). The main aim is to promote local self-sufficiency with good quality food from the local environment, and encourage people to develop healthy dietary habits.

Veleposlaništvo Slovenije v Seulu/주한슬로베니아대사관 is located in Itaewon that is part of Yongsan-gu and today we met with the Mayor of the district Ms. Hee Young Park. Interesting ideas were born about how to raise visibility of in the district and about possible joint projects contributing to the cultural and environmental wellbeing of the community.
