대사관저에서 열린 잊지 못할 [2026 뉴질랜드 문화의 밤] 행사! 🇳🇿🇰🇷🌏 뉴질랜드 웰링턴에서 온 마오리 공연 그룹 ‘히와 크루(The Hiwa Crew)’의 파워풀한 카파하카 공연은 참석한 모든 분들께 깊은 감동을 전했어요. 세대와 문화를 초월한 에너지와 스토리텔링이 살아 있는 무대였어요.

주빈인 산업통상부 여한구 통상교섭본부장님을 비롯해, 정부·기업·외교·미디어·문화 분야에서 오신 약 100명의 초청자를 맞이하게 되어 큰 영광이었습니다.

A truly memorable evening celebrating New Zealand Culture Night 2026 at the New Zealand Residence in Seoul 🇳🇿🇰🇷🌏. Guests were moved by a powerful kapa haka performance from The Hiwa Crew, a Māori performance group from Wellington, whose energy and storytelling resonated across generations and cultures.

Honoured to welcome Trade Minister Yeo Han-koo as guest of honour, alongside around 100 guests from across government, business, diplomatic, media and cultural sectors — all connected through the strength and beauty of Aotearoa New Zealand’s unique culture.

🌅 오늘 새벽, 주한 뉴질랜드 대사관은 호주, 대한민국, 영국, 미국, 캐나다, 튀르키예 대표들과 함께 용산 전쟁기념관에서 엄숙한 앤잭데이(Anzac Day) 추모 기념식을 거행했습니다. 🇳🇿🇦🇺🇰🇷🇬🇧🇺🇸🇨🇦🇹🇷

뉴질랜드의 콜린 할릿 씨를 비롯한 한국전 참전용사들과 함께 우리는 전쟁에 참전한 모든 이들과 그 가족들의 희생을 기렸습니다. 🪖🌹

대한민국이 오늘날 자유국가로 서 있는 데에 70여 년 전 참전용사들의 헌신과 용기가 큰 밑거름이 되었습니다. 그들의 기억은 오래도록 이어지며, 우리는 매년 함께 모여 그들의 복무와 희생을 되새기고 기립니다.

우리는 그들을 기억할 것입니다.

🌅 This morning in Seoul, the New Zealand Embassy stood alongside representatives from Australia, the Republic of Korea, the UK, the US, Canada, and Türkiye to honour Anzac Day at the National War Memorial of Korea. 🇳🇿🇦🇺🇰🇷🇬🇧🇺🇸🇨🇦🇹🇷

Together with Korean War veterans — including Mr Colin J. Hallett from New Zealand — we honoured the sacrifices of all who have served in war, and their families. 🪖🌹

The Republic of Korea stands free today in part because of the dedication of those who fought more than 70 years ago. Their memory endures, and each year we gather to reflect, remember, and honour their service.

Ka maumahara tonu tātou ki a rātou.
We will remember them.

오늘 우리는 가평군에 위치한 뉴질랜드와 호주 참전기념비에서 한국전쟁 가평전투 75주년을 기념하는 매우 뜻깊은 행사를 가졌습니다.

뉴질랜드 한국전 참전용사 콜린 할릿 씨와 그의 딸, 그리고 고(故) 글렌 스미스 씨와 고(故) 트레버 린치 씨의 가족들과 함께, 우리는 1951년 4월 용감히 싸운 뉴질랜드 케이포스(Kayforce) 연대와 그들의 전우인 영연방 군인들의 특별한 용기와 희생을 기렸습니다.

또한 전투 중 지역 주민들과 뉴질랜드 군인들 사이에 맺어진 우정을 이어가기 위해 가평의 중·고등학교 학생들에게 장학금이 수여되었습니다.

이러한 복무의 유산은 오늘날에도 뉴질랜드군의 유엔사 군사정전위원회 파견을 통해 계속 이어지고 있습니다.

잊지 않겠습니다. 🌺🇳🇿🇰🇷🇺🇳

Today we gathered at the New Zealand and Australian Memorials in Gapyeong County for a deeply moving ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Gapyeong during the Korean War.

Joined by Kiwi Korean War veteran Mr Colin J. Hallett, his daughter, and family members of the late veterans Mr Glen Smith and Mr Trevor Lynch, we honoured the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of New Zealand’s Kayforce, alongside their fellow Commonwealth troops who fought bravely in April 1951.

Scholarships were presented to secondary school students from Gapyeong to continue the friendship forged between local residents and Kiwi soldiers during the battle.

That legacy of service continues today through the commitment of NZDF personnel with UNCMAC.

We will remember them. 🌺🇳🇿🇰🇷🇺🇳

3개월간 대한민국에 파병된 뉴질랜드 육군 보병 소대가 첫 번째 주요 합동훈련을 성공적으로 마쳤습니다.

대한민국 육군과학화전투훈련단(KCTC)에서 뉴질랜드 육군 보병 소대는 대한민국 군과 주한미군과 함께 합동훈련을 실시했습니다.

유엔군사령부의 기치 아래 수행된 이번 3개국 합동훈련은 전투 태세와 상호운용성 강화를 위해 매우 중요합니다.

이번 뉴질랜드군의 파병은 한반도 평화와 안정을 위한 파트너십과 공유된 약속의 오랜 역사를 이어가고 있습니다.
