2026년 프랑크푸르트 도서전에 체코가 주빈국으로 선정되었습니다.

이를 기념하기 위해 체코문화원은, 플젠에 위치한 서보헤미아 대학교 라디슬라프 슈타르나 디자인예술학부 학생들과의 협업을 통해 체코 문학을 대표하는 작가들의 초상을 담은 특별한 시리즈를 선보입니다.

이번주의 작가는 카렐 히네크 마하(Karel Hynek Mácha)입니다.

체코어에는 “인내하면 장미를 얻는다”는 표현이 있어요.
영어의 Good things come to those who wait와 비슷한 뜻입니다.

장미가 피기까지 시간과 정성이 필요한 것처럼,
우리도 원하는 것을 이루기 위해서는 기다림과 노력이 필요할 때가 많죠.

곧 다가올 여름은 꽃이 가장 아름답게 피어나는 계절이기도 해요.
체코에서도 이 시기에는 장미꽃을 볼 수 있다고 합니다.

조금 천천히 가더라도 괜찮아요.
기다림 끝에 피어나는 장미처럼, 노력의 결과도 언젠가 예쁘게 찾아올 테니까요.

2026년은 체코 문학에 있어 매우 중요한 해입니다.
세계 최대 규모의 도서전인 독일 프랑크푸르트 도서전의 주빈국으로 참여하는 일은 한 세기에 한 번 찾아올 만큼 특별한 기회이지요.

그렇다면 체코는 이 무대에서 무엇을 세계에 보여줄 수 있을까요? 누구를 조명해야 할까요? 국경을 넘어 영향력을 미치는 작가는 누구일까요?
현대의 중요한 이슈를 작품으로 다루거나 독창적인 서술 방식으로 주목을 받는 작가는 누구일까요?

지금 가장 ‘트렌디한’ 체코 작가는 누구일까요?

체코문화원은 카렐 히네크 마하부터 페트라 소우쿠포바에 이르기까지 20인의 체코 작가를 선정해 이에 대한 하나의 답을 제시합니다. 물론 가능한 여러가지 답변 중 하나일 뿐이지요.

오늘부터 매주, 플젠 라디슬라프 슈타르나 디자인예술학부의 ‘디타틱 일러스트레이션 아틀리에’ 학생들이 제작한 초상화와 함께 체코 문학의 주요 인물을 한 명씩 소개하는 시리즈를 만나보실 수 있습니다.

🎹 손세혁 피아니스트, 제77회 프라하 봄 국제 음악 콩쿠르 피아노 부문 우승

한국의 손세혁(18) 피아니스트가 제77회 프라하 봄 국제 음악 콩쿠르에서 눈부신 연주로 피아노 부문 우승을 차지했습니다.

프라하 루돌피눔 드보르자크홀에서 열린 결선에서 손세혁 피아니스트는 깊은 음악성과 탁월한 기량을 선보였습니다.

2위는 왕즈취안(Zhiquan Wang), 3위는 천쉐홍(Xuehong Chen)(중국)에게 돌아갔으며, 세 명의 젊은 피아니스트 모두 인상적인 무대를 펼쳤습니다.

진심으로 축하합니다. 💐

The 77th Prague Spring Competition concluded with a spectacular victory by a eighteen-year-old pianist from Republic of Korea Sehyeok Son.

Second place went to Zhiquan Wang , and third place to Xuehong Chen from China.

All three young artists delivered absolutely spectacular performances in the final, earning a standing ovation from the sold-out Dvořák Hall at the Rudolfinum.

Pianist Sehyeok Son has advanced to the final round of the 77th Prague Spring International Music Competition in the Piano category.

The final round will take place at Dvořák Hall, Rudolfinum in Prague on 14 May 2026 at 18:00 (local time).

For the final, Sehyeok Son will perform:

주한체코문화원이 5월 10일, 남이섬세계책나라축제()에서 현대 체코 아동문학과 일러스트레이션을 소개합니다.

이번 행사에는 체코 출판사 바오밥(Baobab)에서 출간된 볼로냐 라가치상 논픽션 부문 수상작 《미코, 버섯의 모든 것》의 일러스트레이터 다니엘라 올레이니코바()가 함께합니다.

12시 30분부터 진행되는 이번 워크숍을 통해 참가자들은 작품에서 영감을 받은 워크숍 ‘Glowing Fungi’를 통해 콜라주와 드로잉 기법으로 자신만의 ‘빛나는 버섯’을 만들어볼 수 있습니다.

또한 14시 30분에는 요제프 차페크의 『강아지와 고양이에 대한 이야기』 한국어판 낭독도 함께 진행됩니다.

예술과 상상력, 자연과학이 만나는 특별한 체코 그림책의 세계를 만나보세요 ✨

On May 10, Czech Center Seoul will present a special program on contemporary Czech children’s literature and illustration at the Nami Island International Children’s Book Festival().

The event will feature Daniela Olejníková(danielaole), illustrator of the Bologna Ragazzi Award-winning book Myko: The complete reports from the world of mushrooms, published by the Czech publishing house Baobab.

Starting at 12:30 PM, participants can join the workshop Glowing Fungi, inspired by the book, and create their own imaginary glowing mushrooms using collage and drawing techniques.

At 2:30 PM, there will also be a reading from the newly published Korean edition of Josef Čapek’s classic children’s book Stories About a Dog and a Cat.
