🤵8th Annual Concert of the Eastern Choir Successfully Held🤵♀️
On November 22, the Eastern Choir of the Eastern Social Welfare Society (ESWS), composed of children from domestic adoptive families, held its 8th annual concert at the chapel auditorium of Methodist Theological University. This year's performance was themed "Hope and Dreams," and was attended by over 120 family members, relatives, and special guests, who came together to offer heartfelt encouragement and support.
Part 1 of the concert was hosted by former members of the choir who now serve as mentors to the current members. The opening performances included a lively number by the "Eastern Band," featuring playful choreography, followed by a group choral performance by all choir members.
Part 2, hosted by Ms. Lee Seo-kyung—a show host and mother of one of the choir members—featured performances by four new young choir members and a solo performance by a junior member, both of which were warmly received by the audience. The grand finale was a touching choral piece performed by all the choir members and their mothers, leaving a lasting emotional impact and highlighting the power of music and family.
Invited guest performances enriched the evening. Notable acts included a cello and viola duet by former members Lee Soo-chang and Hyun Sung-ho, a traditional Korean music performance by child prodigy Narin, and a heartfelt pan flute solo by Mr. Kim Byung-goo.
Mr. Kim Hyun-ki, Secretary-General of ESWS, delivered a congratulatory address, expressing his sincere gratitude to the parents of the choir members, conductor Na Ji-young, director Yoo Ji-sook, and all those involved. He shared his hope that the courage, growth, and love demonstrated by the children would continue to inspire dreams and hope in their lives.
This year's concert was made even more meaningful thanks to sponsorship by MBC's variety show "Hangout with Yoo." The Eastern Social Welfare Society (ESWS) remains committed to nurturing the growth of the Eastern Choir and supporting adoptees and their families through meaningful exchange and support activities. We will continue to help adoptive families build a happy and loving family culture rooted in understanding and stability.

👨👩👧 [Campaign Review] A Warm Gathering for Adoptive Families
On May 29th, the Eastern Social Welfare Society hosted the Domestic Adoptive Parent Training in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi — filled with open conversations, empathy, and support. 💬💛
Parents from various backgrounds came together in a cozy space operated by one of our adoptive families. With a heartfelt lecture by Ms. Hye-Kyung Kim on raising emotionally strong children, followed by Q&A and hands-on parenting tips, many found comfort and courage in shared experiences.
The afternoon upcycling workshop — turning glass into beautiful trivets — added joy and creativity, leaving each family with lasting memories. 🎨
We'll continue to walk alongside adoptive families with programs that empower and connect.
Thank you to our generous supporters for making this possible!

🧡 [Campaign Review] The Day the Child Couldn’t be Protected — Healing Begins with Love
Each year, over 20,000 cases of child abuse are reported in Korea — and 86% are committed by biological parents.
Thanks to our supporters, children like Su-a and Hyun-soo, who came to us with deep physical and emotional wounds, have begun a new journey of healing. Through professional therapy, clean care environments, and steady love, they are rediscovering joy, safety, and their own voices. 🌱
None of this would be possible without the warm hearts of our donors.
Let’s continue to stand with children in crisis — so they never feel alone again. 💛
