Gyeonggi province signed a MOU for K-Battery investment with GRINERGY and Yeoju city.
Chairman of GRINERGY, Mr Bang Seong-Yong who was born in Yeoju determined to return to hometown to start a secondary battery business. Mr Bang had worked for Apple and Tesla before he founded GRINERGY.
Gyeonggi province will keep going to create an ecosystem of innovation in future industries.

I have participated in the annual New Year’s greetings hosted by female leaders of Gyeonggi province. As president of Ajou University and minister of Economy and Finance I did my best to encourage women to live up to their potential. As governor, I will do whatever is necessary to promote female rights on all fronts.

Gyeonggi province is getting even stronger and more perfect as a global hub in semiconductor industry by the localization in the materials sector.

Gyeonggi province is growing as one of the world’s most powerful supply bases of semi-conductors. It occupies 28% of the production of memory chips globally.
Gyeonggi will do its best to form a variety of semi-conductor ecology responding to the rapidly changing environments of its industry.

“Isn’t it pleasant to have friends coming from distant areas?”
Chinese ambassador to Korea Xing Haiming visited Suwon. We talked about how to upgrade the Sino-Korean partnership and what Gyeonggi province could do for that.
As far as I know, Ambassador Xing is the most fluent Chinese diplomat in Korean. He has been working for the Sino-Korean diplomatic relations for more than 30 years. He even studied and worked as ambassador in North Korea.
We agreed that both parties will do their best for the enhancement of bilateral interactions in trade, investment, tourism, culture, sports, etc.

On Sunday evening, members of the National Assembly representing Gyeonggi Province visited Dodamso, the Governor’s residence. We enjoyed dinner discussing how to make Gyeonggi a better place to live in.
In Gyeonggi there are neither party lines nor political considerations, only the bipartisan partnership for the welfare of the people.
