A Warrior Returns to Lead the Warrior Division.

This morning at Robertson Field, Brig. Gen. Robert S. “Todd” Brown assumed command of the 2nd Infantry Division/ROK-U.S. Combined Division, taking his place in a storied lineage of leaders who have commanded Warriors for more than a century.

From the battlefields of Belleau Wood and Normandy to the Naktong River, Chipyong-ni, and Heartbreak Ridge, generations of Warriors have built a legacy of courage, sacrifice, and unwavering readiness. Today, that legacy continues on the Korean Peninsula through the strength of the ROK-U.S. Alliance and the Soldiers who remain ready to deter aggression and .

Having previously served as a deputy commanding general for the division, Brig. Gen. Brown returns to a formation he knows well—now entrusted with leading the U.S. Army’s only permanently forward-stationed combined division.

“I understand the power of the alliance,” he said, as he assumed command to carry forward a legacy forged through more than a century of service.
