وزير الخارجية فؤاد حسين يبارك للشعب العراقي ويهنئ المنتخب الوطني بتأهله إلى نهائيات كأس العالم 2026

يتقدم نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية، فؤاد حسين، بأحرّ التهاني والتبريكات إلى أبناء الشعب العراقي كافة، بمناسبة تأهل منتخبنا الوطني لكرة القدم إلى نهائيات كأس العالم 2026.

نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية يستقبل السفير الإيراني لدى العراق

استقبل نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الأحد الموافق 5 نيسان 2026، السفير الإيراني لدى العراق، السيد محمد كاظم آل صادق.

وخلال اللقاء، أعرب السيد الوزير عن شكره للسماح بمرور ناقلات تحمل النفط العراقي عبر مضيق هرمز، مشيراً إلى أهمية استمرار هذا التعاون في المستقبل القريب.

كما جرى بحث آليات التعاون المشترك بين الجانبين لضمان تنفيذ هذا الالتزام بما يخدم المصالح المتبادلة.

من جانبه، استعرض السفير الإيراني موقف الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية من التطورات الأخيرة المرتبطة بالحرب، فيما تناول اللقاء أيضاً الأوضاع الإقليمية وانعكاساتها.

وأكد السيد فؤاد حسين على سياسة العراق الثابتة القائمة على نبذ الحرب وضرورة إنهائها، مشدداً على أهمية حل النزاعات عبر الحوار والمفاوضات السلمية.

كما أشار إلى أن المنطقة بحاجة إلى اعتماد نهج قائم على الحوار المفتوح والعقلاني، بما يعزز فرص التعاون بين الدول الإقليمية ويحقق الاستقرار المشترك.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Receives the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received on Sunday, 5 April 2026, the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadeq.

During the meeting, H.E. the Minister expressed his appreciation for allowing tankers carrying Iraqi oil to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, noting the importance of continuing this cooperation in the near future.

The two sides also discussed mechanisms for joint cooperation to ensure the implementation of this commitment in a way that serves mutual interests.

For his part, the Iranian Ambassador reviewed the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding recent developments related to the war. The meeting also addressed regional conditions and their implications.

H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein reaffirmed Iraq’s consistent policy of rejecting war and the necessity of bringing it to an end, stressing the importance of resolving disputes through dialogue and peaceful negotiations.

H.E. also noted that the region needs to adopt an approach based on open and rational dialogue, in a manner that enhances opportunities for cooperation among regional states and achieves shared stability.

بحث نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الاثنين الموافق 6 نيسان 2026، خلال اتصال هاتفي مع وزير خارجية جمهورية مصر العربية الدكتور بدر عبد العاطي، جهود خفض التصعيد واحتواء التوتر المتصاعد في المنطقة.

وشهد الاتصال تقييماً للأوضاع المتسارعة، واستعراضاً للجهود المبذولة للتوصل إلى تفاهمات بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، بما يسهم في تحقيق التهدئة وخفض التصعيد، في ظل خطورة هذه المرحلة والمنعطف الدقيق .

وبحث الجانبان الاتصالات المكثفة الجارية في هذا الإطار، مؤكدين ضرورة تغليب الحكمة لنزع فتيل التوتر، وتجنب سيناريو كارثي لن يكون أي طرف بمنأى عن تداعياته، كما شددا على أهمية ترجيح الحوار والدبلوماسية للتوصل إلى حل توافقي يحقق التهدئة ويجنب المنطقة تداعيات واسعة النطاق.

وفي هذا السياق، تناول الاتصال التداعيات الوخيمة للحرب على حرية الملاحة وسلاسل الإمداد والأمن الغذائي وحركة التجارة الدولية، فضلًا عن أمن الطاقة في ضوء ارتفاع أسعار النفط والطاقة، حيث أكد الجانبان أهمية تكثيف الجهود لإنهاء التوترات واحتواء تداعياتها، بما يسهم في تجنب مزيد من عدم الاستقرار وانعدام الأمن في المنطقة.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Discusses Regional Developments and De-escalation Efforts with His Egyptian Counterpart by Phone

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, held a telephone conversation on Monday, 6 April 2026, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Dr. Badr Abdelatty, during which they discussed efforts to de-escalate tensions and contain the growing escalation in the region.

The call included an assessment of the rapidly evolving situation, as well as a review of ongoing efforts to reach understandings between the United States and Iran, in a way that contributes to de-escalation and easing tensions amid the seriousness of the current phase and its critical juncture.

Both sides also discussed the intensive communications underway in this regard, stressing the need to exercise wisdom to defuse tensions and avoid a catastrophic scenario whose repercussions would affect all parties, underscoring the importance of prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy to reach a consensual solution that ensures de-escalation and prevents wide-ranging consequences across the region.

In this context, the call addressed the severe repercussions of the war on freedom of navigation, supply chains, food security, and international trade, in addition to energy security amid rising oil and energy prices. Both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to end tensions and contain their consequences, in a manner that helps avoid further instability and insecurity in the region.

تعرب وزارة الخارجية في جمهورية العراق عن إدانتها واستنكارها الشديدين للاعتداء الذي استهدف القنصلية العامة لدولة الكويت الشقيقة في محافظة البصرة ، مؤكدةً رفض الحكومة العراقية القاطع لأي تجاوز أو مساس بالبعثات الدبلوماسية والقنصلية.

وفي هذا السياق، تؤكد الوزارة أن الحكومة العراقية، ممثلةً بوزارة الداخلية، قد شكلت لجنةً تحقيقيةً مختصة للوقوف على ملابسات الحادث، والتحقيق في الأحداث التي رافقت الاعتداء، واتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة بحق المتورطين، بما يضمن عدم تكرار مثل هذه الأفعال مستقبلاً.

كما تعرب وزارة الخارجية عن إدانتها الشديدة للهجوم الصاروخي الذي استهدف مناطق في محافظة البصرة – قضاء الزبير، والذي أسفر عن استشهاد عدد من المدنيين الأبرياء، مؤكدةً أن هذا الاعتداء الذي انطلق من أراضي إحدى دول الجوار يمثل تطورًا خطيراً ومرفوضاً، ويستدعي احترام سيادة العراق وسلامة أراضيه، وعدم استخدام أراضي الدول منصةً لتهديد أمنه واستقراره.

وتشدد الوزارة على ضرورة احترام مبادئ حسن الجوار، وعدم التدخل في الشؤون الداخلية، ووقف أي أعمال من شأنها زعزعة الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.

Press Statement

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted the Consulate General of the sisterly State of Kuwait in Basra Governorate, affirming the Iraqi Government’s firm rejection of any violation or infringement of diplomatic and consular missions.

In this context, the Ministry confirms that the Iraqi Government, represented by the Ministry of Interior, has established a specialised investigative committee to ascertain the circumstances of the incident, investigate the events surrounding the attack, and take the necessary legal measures against those involved, in a manner that ensures such acts are not repeated in the future.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expresses its strong condemnation of the rocket attack that targeted areas in Basra Governorate – Al-Zubair District, which led to the tragic loss of innocent civilian lives. The Ministry affirms that this attack, launched from the territory of a neighbouring country, constitutes a serious and unacceptable escalation, and calls for respect for Iraq’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for refraining from using the territories of states as platforms to threaten its security and stability.

The Ministry stresses the need to respect the principles of good neighbourliness, non-interference in internal affairs, and to halt any actions that would undermine security and stability in the region.

تعرب وزارة خارجية جمهورية العراق عن ترحيبها بإعلان وقف إطلاق النار بين كلٍّ من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية والجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، وتثمّن هذا التطور الذي من شأنه أن يسهم في خفض التوترات وتعزيز فرص التهدئة وترسيخ الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.

وإذ تؤكد الوزارة دعمها لأي جهود إقليمية ودولية تُسهم في احتواء الأزمات وتغليب لغة الحوار والدبلوماسية، فإنها تشدد على أهمية الالتزام الكامل بوقف إطلاق النار، والامتناع عن أي ممارسات أو تصعيدات قد تعيد التوتر إلى المشهد الإقليمي.

بحث نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الأربعاء الموافق 8 نيسان 2026، خلال اتصال هاتفي مع وزير الخارجية الإيراني، السيد عباس عراقچي، تطورات الأوضاع الإقليمية ومسار المباحثات الجارية بشأن وقف إطلاق النار.

وتناول الجانبان حيثيات المباحثات الخاصة بالتوصل إلى وقف إطلاق النار، وتقييـم دور باكستان وعدد من الدول الأخرى التي أسهمت بشكل إيجابي في تهيئة الظروف للحوار.

كما بحثا التصعيد الخطير والمكثف الذي يشنه الكيان الإسرائيلي على العاصمة اللبنانية بيروت ومناطق أخرى في لبنان، وما يرافقه من تداعيات إنسانية وأمنية. والدور الذي يقوم به بنيامين نتنياهو في عرقلة مسار المباحثات، التي كان من المقرر عقدها يوم الأحد.

وأكد الجانبان أهمية العمل مع عدد من الدول لحثّ الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية على ممارسة الضغوط اللازمة على حكومة نتنياهو لوقف الهجمات على لبنان، وتهيئة الأجواء لاستئناف المفاوضات.

Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Discusses Ceasefire Developments and Escalation in Lebanon with His Iranian Counterpart

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, held a phone call on Wednesday, 8 April 2026, with the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Abbas Araghchi, to discuss regional developments and the course of ongoing talks regarding a ceasefire.

The two sides reviewed the details of the negotiations aimed at reaching a ceasefire and assessed the role of Pakistan and several other countries that have contributed positively to creating favorable conditions for dialogue.

They also discussed the serious and intensified escalation carried out by the Israeli entity against the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and other areas in Lebanon, along with its humanitarian and security repercussions. The discussion further addressed the role played by Benjamin Netanyahu in obstructing the negotiation process, which had been scheduled to take place on Sunday.

Both sides stressed the importance of working with a number of countries to urge the United States to exert the necessary pressure on Netanyahu’s government to halt the attacks on Lebanon and to create conditions conducive to the resumption of negotiations.

In a related context, H.E. the Iranian Foreign Minister briefed H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein on the outcomes of his intensive international contacts over the past two days, conducted as part of efforts to support de-escalation and promote stability in the region.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, held a phone call on Wednesday evening, 8 April 2026, with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Mohammad Ishaq Dar, to discuss the latest developments in efforts aimed at reaching a ceasefire.

H.E. the Minister expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Pakistani government in facilitating understandings that help create a conducive environment for holding talks aimed at achieving a ceasefire, commending Pakistan’s positive role in this regard.

During the call, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein also emphasized the importance of continuing efforts and intensifying coordination to prevent any obstacles from hindering the preparatory process for negotiations in the coming days, in a manner that enhances the prospects for de-escalation and contributes to achieving stability.
