▪️ On the night of May 22, the N**i regime carried out a heinous terrorist attack on the academic building and dormitory of the college of Lugansk State Pedagogical University in Starobelsk, LPR, using 16 UAVs, 4 of them heavy, in three waves.

The terrorist attack claimed 21 young lives. Just a week ago, they were students with dreams, plans and a future. Today, all that remains are photographs, memories and unbearable grief.

: Look into their eyes. Ordinary students. Whole lives ahead of them. MURDERED IN STAROBELSK.

This strike was not an accident or a malfunction. It was a deliberate, targeted act of inhuman cruelty against civilians.

💬 Russia’s Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova:
These young people dreamed of becoming teachers and passing knowledge on to the next generations. They had their whole lives ahead of them. Look at the photographs of the students who were killed, look into their eyes... They were the ones Kiev chose to kill.

Kiev’s neo-N**is treacherously stole these young people’s lives and dreams – and, in effect, those of all their loved ones as well.

🎙 Excerpts from the statement by President of Russia Vladimir Putin at the expanded meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (Astana, May 29, 2026)

💬 It is indeed symbolic that exactly 12 years ago, On May 29, 2014, the founding Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union was signed here in Astana.

The consistent and painstaking joint work carried out by our states to implement this document has made it possible to create a truly effective integration association. The assessments voiced by our colleagues – both positive and critical – clearly show that the Eurasian Economic Union is functioning successfully overall and continues to develop further.

I would like to particularly emphasise that, given the specifics of the current situation, close Eurasian integration brings real benefits to each member state of our Association. It helps increase business revenues and improve the quality of life and well-being of our countries’ citizens.

📈 The key macroeconomic indicators of our “five” show a stable positive dynamic, and this speaks for itself. Total industrial production in the Eurasian Union increased by 1.6%, agricultural production by 4.6%, and construction by 4.2%. Growth is also being recorded in most sectors of the economy.

Trade flows between the states of our association reached $95 billion in 2025. The structure of trade is improving thanks to expanded supplies of high-tech products and a simultaneous decrease in the share of raw materials.

Trade barriers are being consistently eliminated within the EAEU, and non-tariff regulation rules are being unified.

Practically all settlements between our countries are carried out in national currencies. This means that mutual export-import operations are reliably protected from external influence and negative trends on global markets.

Measures are being taken to further harmonise the customs legislation of the member states.

Events Marking the Russian Language Day and the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture

At the end of May, the School of the Embassy of Russia in Kuwait traditionally hosted educational events dedicated to the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture and Russian Language Day.

An intellectual quiz “Az, Buki, Vedi…” was organized for students of grades 5–11. The participants tried their hand at translating texts from Old Slavonic and prepared an art exhibition entitled “The Red Line”.

To mark the Russian Language Day, 10th-grade students presented a report on the richness of the Russian language, as well as the history of words and expressions from the era of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. The students also staged a thematic theatrical performance, while the group “Ruslan and Lyudmila” presented a literary and musical composition.

The events were held in a warm and creative atmosphere, once again reminding participants of the importance of preserving and cherishing the Russian language and culture.



О мероприятиях ко Дню русского языка и Дню славянской письменности и культуры

В конце мая в школе при Посольстве России в Кувейте по традиции состоялись просветительские мероприятия, посвященные Дню славянской письменности и культуры, а также Дню русского языка.

Для учеников 5-11 классов была организована интеллектуальная игра «Аз, буки, веди…».  Ребята попробовали себя в качестве переводчиков со старославянского языка и подготовили выставку рисунков «Красная строка».

Ко Дню русского языка ученики 10 класса подготовили доклад о богатстве русского языка, истории слов и выражений эпохи Александра Сергеевича Пушкина. Ребята также представили тематическую театральную постановку, а группа «Руслан и Людмила» исполнила литературно-музыкальную композицию.

Мероприятия прошли в тёплой и творческой атмосфере, ещё раз напомнив участникам о важности бережного отношения к русскому языку и культуре.

О «Последнем звонке» в Школе при Посольстве России в Кувейте

🎊26 мая в Посольстве России в Кувейте прошло ставшее доброй традицией чествование «Последнего звонка» в общеобразовательной школе при диппредставительстве.

▫️С красочными музыкально-театрализованными приветствиями выступили ученические группы разных возрастов.

▫️Теплые напутственные слова прозвучали от педагогов и родителей. К выпускникам также обратился Посол России в Кувейте В.Ф.Желтов.

🎊 On May 26, the “Last bell” traditional ceremony was held by the Russian School at the Embassy of Russia in Kuwait.

🎶 Students of different ages presented lively musical and theatrical performances.

▫️ The teachers and parents said heart-warming farewell words to the students. H.E. Ambassador of Russia to Kuwait Mr. Vladimir Zheltov addressed the school graduates with a speech.

The Russian Embassy in Kuwait hosted a commemorative evening dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic war. Among those present were ambassadors and senior officials of diplomatic missions of the CIS countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan), our compatriots.

Ambassador of Russia to Kuwait H.E. Mr. Vladimir Zheltov addressed participants with a speech. The event was held in an emphatically warm, friendly atmosphere. A live  performance of the wartime music classics made the Victory Day event truly special and memorable.




استضافت سفارة روسيا في الكويت أمسية تذكارية بمناسبة الذكرى ال81 للنصر في الحرب الوطنية العظمى. وكان في الحضور سفراء وكبار مسؤولي البعثات الدبلوماسية لدول رابطة الدول المستقلة (أذربيجان، أرمينيا، كازاخستان، قرغيزستان، طاجيكستان وأوزبكستان)، إضافة إلى ممثلي الجالية الروسية.

وقد وجه سفير روسيا الاتحادية لدى دولة الكويت ، سعادة السيد فلاديمير جيلتوف كلمة التهنئة للمشاركين والضيوف.
 
وأقيمت الفعالية في أجواء دافئة وودية للغاية. كما أضفى الأداء الحي لمقطوعات موسيقية كلاسيكية من أيام الحرب طابعاً خاصاً ومميزاً على احتفال.




В Посольстве России в Кувейте состоялся торжественный памятный вечер, приуроченный к 81-й годовщине Победы в Великой Отечественной войне. Среди участников – послы и старшие должностные лица диппредставительств стран СНГ (Азербайджана, Армении, Казахстана, Киргизии, Таджикистана и Узбекистана), актив наших соотечественников.

С приветственным словом к гостям обратился Посол России в Кувейте В.Ф.Желтов. Вечер прошел в подчеркнуто тёплой, дружеской атмосфере. Особый характер общению в день Великой Победы придавало исполнение вживую музыкальной классики военных лет.

أبرز المقتطفات:

⁃ يصادف التاسع من مايو 2026 الذكرى الحادية والثمانين للنصر العظيم على ألمانيا النازية في أكثر النزاعات تدميراً في تاريخ البشرية. وبالنسبة لشعوب روسيا والجمهوريات السوفيتية السابقة، يُعد هذا اليوم مناسبة مقدسة للذكرى والفخر والحزن، ولحظة لتكريم أولئك الذين قدموا كل شيء كي تعيش الأجيال القادمة في حرية وسلام.

⁃ لم تندلع الحرب العالمية الثانية بشكل مفاجئ، بل جاءت نتيجة قصر النظر السياسي والأنانية القومية لدى القوى الأوروبية آنذاك. فقد رفض ساسة تلك الدول مقترحات الاتحاد السوفيتي لتشكيل تحالف مناهض لهتلر.

⁃ في الثاني والعشرين من يونيو 1941، عندما بدأ الهجوم، كان مذهلاً في حجمه ووحشيته. فقد واجه الاتحاد السوفيتي أقوى قوة عسكرية جرى حشدها على الإطلاق، مدعومة بالموارد المشتركة لأوروبا المحتلة. وتم توجيه ما يقرب من ثلثي القوة الإجمالية للجيش الألماني، إلى جانب قوات حلفائه الأوروبيين، ضد الاتحاد السوفيتي.

⁃ جاء النصر بثمن باهظ. فقد أودت الحرب بحياة 27 مليون مواطن سوفيتي، معظمهم من المدنيين الذين لقوا حتفهم على أيدي الغزاة أو بسبب المجاعة والأمراض. وبعد سلسلة من العمليات الهجومية واسعة النطاق، تمكنت القوات السوفيتية من طرد النازيين من أرضنا، ثم واصلت تقدمها لتحرير نصف أوروبا حتى رُفع علم النصر فوق برلين.

⁃ لم ينسَ الروس أبداً حلفاءهم الذين قاتلوا جنباً إلى جنب معنا ضد العدو الفاشي المشترك. ونحن نُقدّر عالياً المساهمة الهائلة للصين الصديقة في تحقيق الهزيمة الحاسمة للنزعة العسكرية اليابانية، الشريك الآخر لألمانيا النازية.

⁃ وبعد واحد وثمانين عاماً، لا يزال السعي إلى الحقيقة التاريخية أمراً ملحاً. ففي وقتنا الحاضر نشهد محاولات متواصلة للتقليل من الدور المحوري للاتحاد السوفيتي في هزيمة النازية أو حتى قلب الحقائق المتعلقة بنتائج الحرب العالمية الثانية. وفي ظل ذلك، يواصل الروس تكريم أسلافهم الذين صنعوا النصر العظيم وخلّصوا العالم من «الطاعون النازي». إن هذا الإرث ليس موضع مساومة.

Victory Day festive concert held at the Russian Embassy in Kuwait
 
On May 6, 2026 a festive concert dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the Russian Embassy in Kuwait. Students of the Embassy’s secondary school participated in the theatrical event.

Heartfelt poetic and musical works of the war years were performed by the students. They received a warm welcome from the Embassy’s staff and our guests. Present among the guests of honor was Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan H.E. Mr. Nurlan Tokobaev. 

The “Memory wall” exhibition showcasing pictures of the fallen heroes was demonstrated in an atmosphere of remembrance for the fallen veterans.

Ambassador of Russia to Kuwait H.E. Mr. Vladimir Zheltov addressed participants and guests with a congratulatory speech.




О праздничном концерте ко Дню Победы в Посольстве России в Кувейте
 
6 мая в Посольстве России в Кувейте состоялся праздничный концерт, посвященный 81-й годовщине Победы в Великой Отечественной войне.

В театрализованном представлении приняли участие ученики средней школы при Посольстве разных возрастов. Ребята исполнили ставшие нетленной классикой проникновенные поэтические и музыкальные произведения военных лет. В детском исполнении они нашли самый живой отклик у сотрудников и гостей Посольства. Среди присутствовавших был Посол Киргизии в Кувейте Н.К.Токобаев.

В особой, трогательной атмосфере прошло поминовение ушедших от нас ветеранов в формате виртуальной «Стены памяти».

С поздравительным словом к участникам и гостям обратился Посол России в Кувейте В.Ф.Желтов.

Об акции «Бессмертный полк» в Эль-Кувейте
 
В преддверии Дня Победы в Эль-Кувейте состоялась патриотическая акция «Бессмертный полк», ставшая доброй традицией. Деятельный вклад в ее проведение внес страновой Координационный совет организаций российских соотечественников.

В памятном мероприятии приняли участие проживающие в Кувейте наши сограждане, выпускники советских/российских вузов, представители росдипмиссии. Преемственность поколений подчеркивало присутствие вместе со взрослыми большого количества детей разных возрастов. Особую атмосферу создавало музыкально-поэтическое сопровождение с классикой военных лет.

«Immortal Regiment» event held in Kuwait

In celebration of the upcoming Victory Day the «Immortal Regiment» traditional commemorative event was held in Kuwait City. The memorial gathering devoted to the 81st Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic war was organized by the Russian Compatriots Organization of Kuwait. 

Our citizens, graduates of Soviet / Russian universities and representatives of the Russian Embassy attended the event. Many children of different ages participated along with their parents showcasing intergenerational continuity. The memorial gathering was accompanied by musical and poetic classics of the war years, which made the atmosphere truly special. 

Russian Embassy in Kuwait participates in the All-Russia community cleaning day and UN eco-initiative
 
In light of the upcoming International Spring and Labour Day the Embassy staff together with their families took part on April 24 in the All-Russia initiative “Together we clean” by taking care of the premises of the Embassy and its school. The community cleaning event was held in a warm and informal atmosphere.

On the very same day, members of our staff joined the “Kuwait plants” eco-initiative organized by the local office of UN-Habitat. Russian diplomats together with their colleagues from the Embassies of India, Malaysia, Turkey and UAE took part in planting of flowers inside the Daiya Diplomatic Area.

В преддверии Праздника весны и труда сотрудники Посольства вместе с членами семей приняли 24 апреля участие во всероссийской акции «Мы за чистоту», придав свежий вид внутреннему пространству дипмиссии и его средней школе. Возрождаемый «субботник» прошел в подчеркнуто теплой атмосфере, располагающей к неформальному общению.

Параллельно всероссийскому мероприятию наши сотрудники присоединились в тот же день к международной акции по озеленению Кувейта, проводившейся страновым представительством Программы ООН по населенным пунктам “UN-Habitat”. Российские дипломаты совместно с коллегами из посольств Индии, Малайзии, Турции и ОАЭ приняли участие в высадке растений на территории столичного дипквартала.

◼️ Today Russia marks for the first time the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Genocide of the Soviet People, perpetrated by the N**is and their collaborators during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

The top echelon of N**i Germany regarded the territory of the Soviet Union up to the Urals as its Lebensraum, which historically was intended to be settled with representatives of the A***n race and, therefore to be cleansed from those, whom the Hitlerite elite labeled as “subhumans”: Slavs, Jews, Gypsies and Asians.

With these purposes in view, even before invading the Soviet Union, N**i Germany planned a system of extermination practices to radically reduce the Soviet population during the war.

▪️ Although the N**i strategy has not been implemented in full, it still caused enormous victims, including: among those who died were over three million Soviet prisoners of war, about a million of residents in the besieged Leningrad, a great number of civilian population starving in the occupied areas, women and children forcefully imprisoned in the N**i transfer camps.

▪️ Jews and Gypsies were subject to total extermination.

▪️ Soviet female labourers (Ostarbeiter) were subject to forced abortions.

▪️ Soviet children having signs of A***n origin were kidnapped in the occupied territories for subsequent Germanisation, which also constitutes a conventional form of genocide.

From the very beginning of the war, the N**is developed the so-called General Plan ‘Ost’ with the aim of colonising the occupied territories. Under the plan, millions of Germans were to be resettled in the conquered lands. New, German towns and villages were to be built for them.

A horrifying estimate of 13.7 million people fell victim to the Hitler’s policy of destroying “subnormal” as he thought Soviet people, with another five million citizens to a willfully implemented famine strategy.

❗️ Russia’s diplomatic service will seek to ensure that the crimes committed by the N**is and their collaborators against the citizens of the Soviet Union are recognised by the international community as genocide against the Soviet people.
