The parade provided an opportunity to recognise the important role HMCIPS officers play in supporting public safety, rehabilitation, and community wellbeing across the Cayman Islands.

His Majesty's Cayman Islands Prison Service (HMCIPS) recently concluded its Annual Domino Tournament, bringing together participants from across the civil service for a day of friendly competition, teamwork and camaraderie.

Following a series of closely contested matches, Team HMCIPS emerged as this year's champions, demonstrating skill, strategy and excellent teamwork throughout the tournament.

HM Cayman Islands Prison Service (HMCIPS) would like to congratulate Officers Basilio Christian, Abraham Whittaker, Shawn Rankin and Dewayne Brown for successfully completing the Leadership and Management Development Seminar with the Caribbean Regional Drug Law Enforcement Training Centre.

The seminar focused on key competencies including effective communication, team building, conflict resolution and change management which strengthens their ability to lead effectively within the organisation.

Recently, members of HM Cayman Islands Prison Service came together to participate in a blood donation drive as part of a team-building initiative.

While teamwork is often built within the workplace, moments like these remind us that unity is also demonstrated through service to others.

πŸ—£οΈ Deputy Director of Rehabilitation (Acting), Richard Barton, shared:

β€œThis blood drive fostered teamwork while simultaneously benefiting the wider community. It serves as a reminder for us to continue to be our brother’s keeper and to support those around us whenever possible. We encourage other departments and organisations to consider participating in similar activities that can positively impact our community. I would like to thank Director Greaves for approving this initiative and personally showing support on the day".
