As Premier of the Cayman Islands, it was an honour to join Government’s celebration of our distinguished Deputy Governor on Friday. After decades of extraordinary leadership that has strengthened our civil service and upheld good governance, a happy retirement is well deserved. In addition, I made time to acknowledge Rotary Club of Grand Cayman’s Annual Changeover Celebration. As Mr Dale Crowley takes the helm, we wish him and his fellow Rotarians success as they continue serving our community.

Honoured to huddle with our Cayman regulatory troops at the 62nd CFATF Plenary in Trinidad, as we continue to prepare for the 5th Round Evaluation.
Our aim is clear:

​Our rallying mantra is to reiterate unity across both the public and private sectors. And, importantly, shift the mindset from this undertaking being a stressful, periodic regulatory hurdle to a shared mission of upholding the country's global AML/CFT standing. 🙌🏾

Last week was a busy week as the NCFC’s Government marked our first year in office - publishing our One Year Anniversary report, doing a series of media interviews to share the updates with the wider public, and thanking our teams across the civil service for their support and partnership. One year is a good time to take stock and look back at our achievements so far, but more important is to keep the momentum going and stay focused on what’s still to come.
