RIP

The management and staff of the Tourism Attraction Board are saddened to hear of the passing of our former CEO, Mr. Gilbert Connolly.

Mr. Connolly was our friend and colleague for 13 years as the CEO of the Tourism Attraction Board and Secretary of the Board from 2003 to 2016.

He was instrumental in the growth of the TAB and led the charge in the two-year recovery efforts of Pedro St James after the site was devastated by the passing of Hurricane Ivan, among other notable efforts.

We offer our deepest condolences to his wife Laura, his children, extended family and friends as they go through this difficult time.

Please note that due to the passing of Tropical Storm Grace, the Cayman Islands Tourism Attraction Board is announcing the closure of the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park and the Pedro St. James Castle National Historic Site as of 2pm today.

We anticipate both attractions will reopen with normal business hours on Thursday 19th August, once the The Cayman Islands Government has issued the all clear.

NOTE: the Hell Geological Site and Cayman Craft Market remain closed.
