Expertise France is France’s public agency and interministerial actor in charge of international technical cooperation, the second-largest in Europe. As a subsidiary of Agence Française de Développement Group (AFD Group), it designs and implements projects that sustainably strengthen public policies in developing and emerging countries. Expertise France works in key areas of development: governance, security, climate change, health, education, and more. Alongside its partners, it contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Know-how in common. 🇯🇴 Jordan: turning HR satisfaction data into action

Jordan's Civil Service and Public Administration Commission (S**C) held a workshop today to help six government departments translate the 2025 National Public Sector HR Satisfaction Study into practical improvement plans for the work environment and institutional performance.
The workshop shared key lessons learned on applying a suggested unified methodology. the methodology was piloted on six government institutions; each was able to examine its own survey results, identify priorities in a measurable manner, and draft corrective actions.

Held with Expertise France under the Technical Assistance Project to support Inclusive Reforms of Jordan's Civil Service funded by AFD, the session gathered S**C Secretary General Eng. Yaser Al-Nsour, Ms Dima Jweihan (Jordanian National Commission for Women), OECD/SIGMA's Mr José Díaz, EF's Diana Haddadin, and HR officials from across government — with a focus on moving from diagnosis to actionable, data-driven plans ahead of the 2027 measurement cycle.

Our teams joined the French Consul and AFD - Agence Française de Développement at the University of Mosul جامعة الموصل to review progress on our support to the Mosul Research & Medical Centers — from restoring cancer treatment capacity to now delivering advanced diagnostic equipment for the region.

Every step forward here means more patients reached and more specialties covered.

🇱🇧 470 lawyers. Trained to stand with survivors of GBV.

The Tripoli and Beirut Bar Associations trained lawyers to handle gender-based violence cases as part of the European Union in Lebanon-funded Women Empowerment Hub in Lebanon project. 🤝🏼

📍 A total of 470 lawyers are now equipped to provide legal services to GBV victims.

These lawyers are ready to take on cases referred by both Bar Associations — turning training into real protection on the ground.

🇱🇧 Lebanon criminalized sexual harassment. The law exists. So why do gaps remain?

Judges, legal experts, and practitioners sat down to answer that — part of the European Union in Lebanon-funded Women Empowerment Hub project roundtable series. 🤝🏼

⚠️ What they found: victims have paths to turn to — Public Prosecution, Judicial Police, NGOs — but the system still lacks a unified definition of the crime, and most workplaces have no internal policy for prevention or response.

One goal: closing the gap between law and protection.

The Court of Accounts hosted a live demonstration of its newly deployed digital workflow system — a key milestone in modernizing how the institution operates. The event also brought together stakeholders for a discussion on digitalization in the public sector and the road ahead. 🤝🏼

Supported by the European Union in Lebanon-funded project "Support to Public Administration Reform in Lebanon," this initiative reflects a shared commitment to building more efficient, transparent, and accountable public institutions.

🇯🇴 ثلاثة أيام، ثلاث محافظات، وخطوة مهمة نحو مؤسسات محلية أكثر قدرة وفاعلية.

ضمن برنامج بناء القدرات في مشروع "تكاتف"، قيّمت مؤسسات المجتمع المدني والمحلي المشاركة قدراتها المؤسسية والإدارية والفنية والمالية، لتحديد أبرز الأولويات ومجالات التطوير.

ستسهم نتائج هذه الجلسات في توجيه المراحل المقبلة من برنامج بناء القدرات، وتعزيز جاهزية المؤسسات لتطوير مبادرات دامجة والمساهمة في تقديم خدمات اجتماعية مجتمعية أكثر استجابة للاحتياجات المحلية.

يُموَّل مشروع "تكاتف" من الوكالة الفرنسية للتنمية، وتنفذه إكسبيرتيز فرانس بالشراكة مع وزارة التنمية الاجتماعية في الأردن.

Three days. Three governorates. One important step towards stronger local organisations.

Through TAKATUF’s capacity-building programme, participating CSOs and CBOs assessed their institutional, administrative, technical and financial capacities and identified key priorities for further development.

The findings from these sessions will help inform the next stages of the capacity-building programme, strengthening organisations’ readiness to develop inclusive initiatives and contribute to more responsive, community-based social services.

TAKATUF is funded by Agence Française de Développement and implemented by Expertise France in partnership with Jordan’s Ministry of Social Development.
