War leaves behind toxic residues that continue to contaminate soil, water, and farmlands long after the violence ends. This 7-week hands-on training introduces community-based bioremediation strategies using plants, fungi, microorganisms, compost, and regenerative soil practices to help restore land affected by the Israeli war on Lebanon.
Participants will explore phytoremediation, mycoremediation, composting, biochar, and soil restoration through both practical and theoretical learning led by local agroecologists and agricultural engineers.

تنظّم جمعية تراب دورة تدريبية حول المعالجة الحيوية للتلوث الناتج عن الحرب، يهدف إلى تعريف الناشطين/ات المحليين/ات باستراتيجيات المعالجة الحيوية للمساعدة في إعادة تأهيل الأراضي الزراعية الملوثة، من خلال العمل مع النباتات والفطريات والكائنات الحية الدقيقة.
يتضمن التدريب 8 جلسات تمتد على 7 أسابيع (من 6 حزيران حتى 18 تموز)، ويجمع
بين التعلّم النظري والتطبيقي.

After the February 2023 earthquake, AlBaraa returns to besieged Idlib to meet Marouna’s daughters, where the narrative opens up about birth, love, despair and hope. The Assad regime falls, and the long-awaited freedom is born.
In the aftermath of the February 6, 2023 earthquake, AlBaraa returns from exile to besieged Idlib to film a documentary about the “Marona” girls’ work providing emergency psychological support after the disaster. There, he discovers a treasure trove of old and common stories. The narrative unfolds, giving birth to many tales through the voices of Nadia, Fatima, and then Marwa. The stories transcend boundaries, opening up to talk of birth, love, despair, hope, and the anticipated freedom, before the regime falls without warning at the end of 2024. Faces and eyes change, but the stories remain.

Inherited and inter-generational trauma shape how people think and act at personal, family, and societal levels, often influencing whether they feel safe engaging in protest or public discourse. In Lebanon, many mothers of Gen Z daughters lived through war, which makes them more sensitive to danger and protective of their children—especially after events like the 2020 Beirut port explosion. While daughters inherit some of this trauma, they still try to challenge it and find ways to break cycles of violence.
