In 2003, EVENTA was founded by Nina Abi Fadel as a small business with a big vision: to make a difference in the world one event at a time. Nina wanted the ability and freedom to choose to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations on events, projects, and programs with true social impact and value for Lebanese communities. The extensive experience gained over the past 15 years of completing diverse projects in different sectors – in solid collaboration with sustainable partners in the region – enables us to identify our communities’ current most pressing needs and challenges. Simultaneously, it continuously deepened our commitment to providing innovative, hands-on solutions that can help us address common social challenges, particularly in the areas of health and wealth.

Confidence is rarely the barrier we assume it is. More often, it's representation: never having seen someone who looks like you do the thing first.

This is a two-part story about what happens when that barrier gets addressed directly, not talked around. Part two lands in a few weeks.

Stay tuned.

For three years, a partner's CSR budget existed before it had a strategy, a handful of well-intentioned sponsorships that were hard to explain to a board asking what changed because of them.

We helped turn it into one theme, one region, one multi-year commitment they could actually measure.

The difference between CSR-as-giving and CSR-as-strategy usually isn't budget. It's a decision.

Financial stress rarely announces itself as financial stress. It shows up as fatigue, distraction, a general sense of not coping, and it's often treated as a health issue instead of what it actually is.

That's the blind spot a combined health-and-wealth strategy is built to close: two support systems that were never designed to talk to each other, finally working from the same picture of a person.

If your organization is still running these as separate budgets, that's the exact space we build strategy for.

Most programs are judged by how many people showed up. Few are judged by what actually changed in them.

That gap is exactly what a real impact assessment is built to close, and it's often the most uncomfortable, most useful conversation a partner has with us.
If you've never separated attendance from actual impact, an assessment is where that conversation starts.

On the night of setting up a recent session, the venue we had booked had an emergency and could no longer accommodate us. A new space was found within the same proximity, contact was made and the contract signed, set up adapted, and signage ordered directing guests to the new venue. The session successfully started on time the next day. This is the side of our work that never makes it into a report: quiet decisions intensely made to protect the promise made to our loyal community.

A brief is where a program starts. It's rarely where it should end. Every design process we run builds in real listening time before a single session gets built, because the gap between a well-written brief and what a community actually needs is almost always invisible from the outside.

If your next program still exists only as a first draft, that's exactly the stage we like to join.

The frameworks exist. The research exists. The funding increasingly exists.

What doesn't always exist is design that actually fits culturally, contextually, and in terms of what communities here are ready to own.

We have learned more from the people in our programs than from any methodology. And that is the only way to build something that lasts in this region.

Social impact programs don't fail because of lack of money or lack of intention.
They fall short when the design doesn't fit the people it was built for.

The Arab world deserves programs that start from within, not frameworks imported and applied from the outside.

Not all wellness programs are created equal, and the difference shows up long after the launch event.

Before you commit, ask whether it's built to last within your organization or to keep you coming back for more.
