La Commission nationale des droits de l’homme appelle à une adaptation climatique qui protège les droits et bénéficie aux populations les plus exposées

La Commission nationale des droits de l’homme du Liban, incluant le Comité pour la prévention de la torture (NHRC-CPT), a soumis sa contribution au Haut-Commissariat des Nations Unies aux droits de l’homme (HCDH) sur les droits humains et l’adaptation aux changements climatiques. Cette contribution s’inscrit dans la préparation de l’étude analytique du Secrétaire général des Nations Unies demandée par la résolution 62/14 du Conseil des droits de l’homme, qui sera présentée à sa soixante-sixième session, en septembre 2027. L’étude examinera les défis, les bonnes pratiques et les pistes d’action permettant de protéger les droits des générations actuelles tout en préservant les besoins et les intérêts des générations futures....

Human rights and climate adaptation in Lebanon Contribution of the National Human Rights Commission of Lebanon, including the Committee for the Prevention of Torture - Lebanese Republic Submitted for the Secretary-General’s analytical study pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 62/14 Scope and principal recommendation The NHRC-CPT recommends assessing Lebanon's adaptation efforts by its protection of life, health, water, food, adequate housing, education, and livelihoods, and by equitable access to information, participation, and remedy. NHRC-CPT calls for climate adaptation that protects rights and reaches those most at risk

The National Human Rights Commission of Lebanon, including the Committee for the Prevention of Torture (NHRC-CPT), has submitted its contribution to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) on human rights and climate adaptation. The contribution will inform the Secretary-General’s analytical study requested by Human Rights Council resolution 62/14, to be presented at the Council’s sixty-sixth session in September 2027. The study will examine challenges, good practices and actionable pathways to protect the enjoyment of human rights by present generations while safeguarding the needs and interests of future generations....

الهيئة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان تدعو إلى تكيّف مناخي يحمي الحقوق ويصل إلى الفئات الأكثر عرضة للمخاطر

قدّمت الهيئة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان المتضمّنة لجنة الوقاية من التعذيب مساهمتها إلى مفوضية الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان بشأن حقوق الإنسان والتكيّف مع تغيّر المناخ. وتأتي المساهمة في إطار إعداد الدراسة التحليلية للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، المطلوبة بموجب قرار مجلس حقوق الإنسان رقم 62/14، والمقرّر عرضها خلال الدورة السادسة والستين للمجلس في أيلول/سبتمبر 2027. وستتناول الدراسة التحديات والممارسات الجيدة والمسارات العملية لحماية تمتع الأجيال الحالية بحقوق الإنسان، مع مراعاة احتياجات الأجيال المقبلة ومصالحها. وأكدت الهيئة أن المعيار الأساسي لتقييم سياسات التكيّف المناخي يجب أن يكون أثرها في حماية حقوق الناس في الحياة والصحة والمياه والغذاء والسكن اللائق والتعليم وسبل العيش، ومدى ضمانها الوصول المنصف إلى المعلومات والمشاركة وسبل الانتصاف الفعّالة....

اليوم الدولي للطفلة 2026: على لبنان حماية طفولة الفتيات والاستثمار في حقوقهن

في 11 تشرين الأول، يدعو اليوم الدولي للطفلة إلى التحرك لإنهاء زواج الأطفال والاستثمار في حقوق الفتيات. وتكتسب هذه الرسالة أهمية ملحّة في لبنان، حيث يمكن للضائقة الاقتصادية والنزوح وتعطّل التعليم والعوائق أمام الحصول على الرعاية الصحية أن تحدّ من فرص الفتيات وتعرّضهن للعنف والاستغلال. وتتطلب حمايتهن عملاً منسقاً يشمل التشريعات والتعليم والصحة والحماية الاجتماعية والوصول إلى العدالة، إلى جانب المشاركة الفعلية للفتيات أنفسهن. تحيي الأمم المتحدة اليوم الدولي للطفلة سنوياً في 11 تشرين الأول. وقد أُقرّ هذا اليوم بموجب قرار الجمعية العامة رقم 66/170، المعتمد في 19 كانون الأول 2011، للاعتراف بحقوق الفتيات والتحديات الخاصة التي يواجهنها....
