Ambassador of Lebanon to Malaysia, Maher Kheir, accompanied by former Secretary-General of the Higher Defence Council, Major General Mohammad Kheir, met with the Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Rodolphe Haykal, at his office at the Ministry of National Defence.
During the meeting, they discussed a number of matters of mutual interest, notably the upcoming visit of the Malaysian Minister of Defence to Lebanon this week, as well as bilateral relations between Lebanon and Malaysia and ways to strengthen and further develop them at the political, diplomatic, security and military levels. They also explored expanding areas of cooperation and exchanging expertise in a manner that serves the interests of both friendly countries and their peoples.

The Lebanese Ambassador H.E. Maher Kheir attended the official reception ceremony held in honor of Australian Prime Minister H. E. Anthony Albanese, hosted by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at the Malaysian government headquarters.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Albanese expressed his sincere wishes for Lebanon's swift recovery and its ability to overcome current challenges. The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for these sentiments.

تعلن وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين أنّه اعتبارًا من 1 آذار 2026، تبدأ جميع السفارات والبعثات اللبنانية في الخارج تطبيق التعميم الذي أصدره وزير الخارجية والمغتربين يوسف رجّي، والرامي إلى التخفيف من الأعباء القنصلية عن كاهل اللبنانيين المقيمين في الخارج.
ويشمل التعميم:
• تخفيض رسوم جواز السفر البيومتري بنسبة %50.
• إلغاء كامل الرسوم المرتبطة بمعاملات الأحوال الشخصية، بما فيها وثائق الوفاة وإجراءات نقل الجثمان إلى لبنان، إضافة إلى معاملات تسجيل وتنظيم وثائق الزواج والطلاق والولادة.
• إلغاء الرسوم الخاصة بالمصادقات على الإفادات والشهادات المدرسية.
وتجسّد هذه المبادرة التزام وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين بالوقوف إلى جانب أبنائها في دول الانتشار، وتسهيل معاملاتهم وصون حقوقهم في الخارج، تقديرًا لدورهم الوطني ومساهمتهم المستمرة في دعم وطنهم.

تشرفتُ بتقديم أوراق اعتمادي إلى جلالة ملك ماليزيا، السلطان إبراهيم بن السلطان إسكندر، سفيراً فوق العادة ومطلق الصلاحية للجمهورية اللبنانية لدى مملكة ماليزيا، ضمن مراسم بروتوكولية تم خلالها تأدية التحية من فرقة الشرف الملكية. لحظة مميزة تؤكد عمق الصداقة والتعاون بين لبنان والمملكة.
