Every woman deserves the support, dignity, and resources to make the best choices for herself and her family.

SLPWO proudly supports policies that INVEST in mothers, children, and communities. Because bringing a child into the world should never mean facing it alone.

We stand for:
✔ Financial support for expecting mothers
✔ Access to free and quality prenatal care, including labs and ultrasounds
✔ Early childhood education opportunities, from preschool to after-school programs
✔ Support for working mothers, including childcare initiatives
✔ Reduced financial burdens through education and facility assistance

These aren’t “handouts”—they are smart, compassionate investments in the future of our society.

Healthy mothers build strong families. Strong families build thriving communities.

Let’s move forward with policies that uplift, not judge. Support, not shame. Empower, not abandon.

Today, scores of members of the Saint Lucia Labour Party Women’s Organization (SLPWO) came together, transforming into blossoming “Pícassos” at a vibrant national event celebrating women.

This special gathering marked the culmination of activities and community outreach held across individual constituencies in commemoration of International Women’s Day 2026.

We were also joined by the Minister for Gender Affairs, Hon. Emma Hippolyte, who easily blended into the laughter and banter while painting one of the many stunning sunsets.

It was truly a joy to see sisters connect, share, laugh, and create, enjoying activities like paint and sip, treasure hunt, and artistic expression—all set against the backdrop of a charming country cabin in Mahaut.

Moments like these remind us of the strength, unity, and beauty of women coming together.
