Today we join Christians at home and abroad who are observing the religious feast of Corpus Christi. As a predominantly Roman Catholic society, we mark this sacred occasion with a public holiday, reflecting the deep faith traditions that continue to shape our national life.

Saint Lucia stands alone in the world as the only nation named after a woman.

On this Mother’s Day, that truth feels especially powerful.

It reminds us that the spirit of womanhood is woven into the very identity of our nation. It lives in the mothers who nurture dreams, the grandmothers who anchor families, the nurses who comfort, the teachers who inspire, the entrepreneurs who create opportunity, the professionals who lead, and the homemakers whose love becomes the heartbeat of the household.

At the Saint Lucia Citizenship by Investment Programme, we proudly join the countless voices celebrating mothers everywhere.

We are honoured to support programmes that empower women, because when women rise, children thrive, families grow stronger, communities advance, and nations prosper.

To every mother, grandmother, caregiver, nurturer, and woman helping to shape Saint Lucia’s story, thank you.

Happy Mother’s Day from the Saint Lucia Citizenship by Investment Programme.
