It was established as the National Standards Body through the enactment of the Standards Act No. 14 of 1990 but the SLBS began operations formally in April 1991. The Collaboration Continues 🀝

The Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards (SLBS) is proud to recognize Standards Officer Ms. Saskia Augustin for her representation of the SLBS in the ASTM Emerging Professionals Program.

The visit provided an opportunity to deepen the officers understanding of ASTM's consensus-based standards development process, strengthen leadership and communication skills, engage with experienced mentors, and expand their professional networks within the international standards community.

SLBS remains committed to building strong partnerships with international standards organizations and looks forward to the knowledge, experience, and insights Ms. Augustin brings back to strengthen the work of the Bureau and contribute to the advancement of standards in Saint Lucia.
