🌍 Fostering Global Fellowship & Impactful Collaboration! 🤝✨

Members of the Rotary Club of Uva Hills recently participated in an inspiring project program, followed by an unforgettable International Rotary Night celebration.

A major highlight of the event was the formal signing of a Sister Club Agreement and the traditional exchange of club flags with Rotary Club of Mamallapuram of RID 3231,

This partnership marks a significant milestone in expanding our international service footprint, paving the way for joint humanitarian projects, cross-cultural exchanges, and impactful Rotary initiatives between both clubs.
A huge thank to the organising club and Past Presidents Rotarian Bose Dharmalingam for the initiative and the invitation to be part of this wonderful international evening.

Together, we look forward to driving meaningful change and creating lasting impact! 💙⚙️

Something extraordinary is taking shape this Pink October.

Rotary Pink Pledge together with Cup of Courage Season III presents THE RUNWAY OF COURAGE, a special morning celebrating courage, survivorship, fashion and hope.

Join us on 24 October 2026 at Cinnamon Grand Colombo for an inspiring gathering featuring an international medical panel, powerful courage stories, and a unique fashion showcase where breast cancer survivors take centre stage and walk the runway.

This is more than an event. It is a celebration of women who have faced the journey, those who have walked beside them, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward.

👁️📚 Sharp Eyes, Learn Better – Stage 01
Rotary Club of Uva Hills

On 11th September 2026, Rotary Club of Uva Hills successfully conducted Stage 01 of the “Sharp Eyes, Learn Better” project at the Passara Zonal Education Office.

We were privileged to welcome 110 teachers representing more than 80 Sinhala and Tamil schools from the education zone. The session focused on creating awareness among teachers about the importance of children’s eye health, early identification of vision problems, and timely referral for proper eye care. 👓✨

A special thank you to our resource person, Mr. Niloshan, Optometrist at District General Hospital, Nuwara Eliya, for sharing his valuable knowledge, expertise, and practical insights with the participating teachers.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to the Passara Zonal Education Office, all participating teachers, our resource person, and the dedicated members of Rotary Club of Uva Hills and District Project Commitee whose support and commitment made Stage 01 a success.

With the Rotary theme “Create Lasting Impact,” we believe that helping children see better is also helping them learn better, dream bigger, and build a brighter future. 🌟
