District NGO Coordinating Committee Meeting – Kilinochchi District

The 2026 Action Plan Review and 4th Quarter 2025 Progress Review Meeting was held on 17 February 2026 at the District Secretariat, Kilinochchi.

The meeting was organized by the District NGO Coordinator and chaired by Mr. S. Muralitharan, District Secretary of Kilinochchi. The progress and action plans of 41 NGOs functioning in the district were reviewed.

District heads of government departments, divisional secretaries, district officials, relevant government stakeholders, and NGO representatives participated in the meeting. Key discussions focused on strengthening coordination and enhancing the effectiveness of NGO interventions in the district.

Action Plan Review & Progress Meeting – Kurunegala District

The 2026 Action Plan Review and the 4th Quarter 2025 Progress Review Meeting was held on 02 February 2026 at the District Secretariat, Kurunegala.

The NGO Coordinator, Mr. Nihal Jayawardena, welcomed participants, and the Additional District Secretary, Mr. N.A.A.S. Priyankara, led the proceedings. The progress and action plans of 18 NGOs were reviewed during the meeting.

NGOs were encouraged to include measures to address rising diseases such as thalassemia and tuberculosis, and appreciation was expressed for the support provided during the Ditwah cyclone situation.

Progress Review Meeting of NGOs – Mannar District

The NGO Progress Review Meeting for the 3rd & 4th quarters of 2025 and the Action Plan Review for 2026 was held on 29 January 2026 at the District Secretariat, Mannar.

The meeting commenced at 9.30 a.m. under the leadership of the Government Agent of Mannar District, with the participation of NGO representatives, Heads of Government Departments, and sectoral heads. Participants actively shared updates and contributions toward district development initiatives.

During the meeting, the Government Agent expressed sincere appreciation to all NGOs for their valuable support during the Ditwah Cyclone response. NGOs were encouraged to prioritize hard components in project implementation, ensure coverage across all Divisional Secretariat divisions, strengthen coordination with Divisional Secretaries and relevant government departments, and allocate 10% of project funds for future disaster preparedness and relief.

A total of 16 NGOs presented their project progress for the 3rd & 4th quarters of 2025 and their Action Plans for 2026.

Kilinochchi District NGO Progress Review – 3rd Quarter 2025*

The Kilinochchi District NGO Progress Review Meeting for the third quarter of 2025 was held on 13 November at the District Secretariat Conference Hall, under the leadership of Additional District Secretary Mrs. Nalajiny Inparaj.

The session focused on reviewing the progress of NGO-led activities during the quarter and discussing activities for the upcoming period. Key directives were shared by the Additional District Secretary and Director Planning to enhance the impact and coordination of ongoing initiatives.

The meeting brought together representatives from 41 NGOs along with relevant government stakeholders, fostering constructive dialogue on inclusive and effective development efforts in the district.
