Meal Care

The Mealcare for Schools Project, facilitated and donated by Tangent Club 2 of Sri Lanka, proudly kickstarts its 2025 activities by providing 10 computers to two schools. This initiative marks an exciting step in empowering students with access to technology, complementing our core mission of delivering nutritious meals to underprivileged children.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Tangent Club 2 for their incredible generosity and commitment to creating equal opportunities for students.

Mealcare Programs served approximately 63,200 meals among 9,000 students in 27 Schools during the quarterly period from January to March 2024 in which 10,460 meals are to fill up the existing programs in the respective schools through support from other sources. We thank Antoine Dominic Trust, Sri Lanka Society UK, Vally’s Kitchen and other individuals & organizations, who supported to carry out the programs. We extend our special thank to Ms. Andi Costaine representing SLSoc UK for visiting few schools and taking part in the program.

Moreover, we were able to donate 2 Laptops to support under Tech-Care Program. Consequently, 1 laptop was donated to Roman Catholic Girl’s College for their School Administration Purpose and the other was donated to a
Deserving Student from a School under our program who had received a University Entrance to pursue higher studies. We sincerely thank Mr. Hiran Weerarathne for donating same for the betterment of the Schools and the student.
