📢 Call for Abstracts – Metrology Research Symposium 2026
In celebration of World Metrology Day 2026, the Measurement Units, Standards and Services Department (MUSSD) proudly invites researchers, academics, industry professionals, and institutions to submit abstracts for the Metrology Research Symposium 2026.

This symposium aims to strengthen Sri Lanka’s National Quality Infrastructure and promote innovation, safety, fair trade, and reliable measurement science.

📅 Abstract Submission Deadline: 31 August 2026
📍 Main Symposium Event: December 2026 – Pitipana Technical City, Homagama

The department operates under the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Coporative Development and ensures that all measurements used in trade, industry, and daily life are accurate, uniform, and legally compliant.
It plays a key role in protecting both consumers and businesses by enforcing measurement laws.
