The University of the Visual and Performing Arts successfully conducted In-house Training Program on “File Management, Effective use of online resources and services” for the library staff members. The resource person for this program was Mr. Saman Girakaduwa, Senior Assistant Librarian of the University of the Visual and Performing Arts. All the library staff members attended this program. The Staff Development Centre and Library of the University of the Visual and Performing Arts were the organizers of the event.

Congratulations Dr. G.R. Padmasiri (Librarian and Director (Acting) of the Centre for Gender Equity/ Equality (CGEE) at the University of the Visual and Performing Arts).

Dr. G. R. Padmasiri, Librarian of the University of the Visual and Performing Arts has been awaded the Certificates of Excellence resarch award for his reserach on "Traditional methods of knowledge transfer and acquisition with special reference to indigenous knowledge of indigenous medicine in Sri Lanka" at the NILIS Research Symposium 2021 held on 24th January 2022.
