පුද්ගලයින් පිරිසක් විසින් නිල ඇඳුමින් සිටින පොලිස් නිලධාරින් දෙදෙනෙකුට පහර දෙන ආකාරය දැක්වෙන වීඩියෝවක් සමාජ මාධ්‍යයේ සංසරණය වෙමින් පවතී.
අදාළ සිදුවීම 2025.03.31 දින නිලාවේලි පොලිස් වසමේ සිදු වූ සිදුවීමක් වේ.
ත්‍රිකුණාමලය කොට්ඨාසය විසින් සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධව යොමු කර ඇති වාර්තාවට අනුව, නිලාවේලි පොලිස් වසමේ රථවාහන රාජකාරි නිරතව සිටි නිලධාරින් දෙදෙනෙකු විසින් ඝෝෂාකාරි හඩ නංවමින් මාර්ගයේ ධාවනය වූ යතුරුපැදියක් පොලිස් භාරයට ගෙන එම යතුරුපැදිය පොලිස් ස්ථානයට රැගෙන ඒ්මට කටයුතු කිරීමේදී පුද්ගලයින් පිරිසක් විසින් නිලධාරින් දෙදෙනාගේ රාජකාරියට බාධා කර ඇත.
සාපරාධී බලහත්කාරය පාමින් අයුතු ජනරාශියක සාමාජිකයින් වෙමින් නිලධාරින් හට පහර දී තුවාල සිදු කර, නිලධාරීන් අයුතු ලෙස සිර කොට තබා දේපළවලට හා නිල ඇඳුම් කොටස් වලට අනර්ථය සිදුකළ සිදුවීමක් බව වාර්තා කර ඇත.
මෙම සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් ස්ථානාධිපති නිලාවේලි විසින් කඩිනම් විමර්ශන සිදු කර සිද්ධියට සම්බන්ධ සැකකරුවන් 09 දෙනෙකු අත්අඩංගුවට ඇත. පොලිස් නිලධාරින්ට පහරදීම සඳහා සැකකරුවන් පැමිණි ත්‍රීරෝද රථයක්ද පොලිස් භාරයට ගෙන තිබේ.
අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් සැකකරුවන්ට විරුද්ධව ත්‍රිකුණාමලය ගරු මහේස්ත්‍රාත් අධිකරණයේ චෝදනා ගොනු කිරීමෙන් පසු සැකකරුවන් වරදකරුවන් බවට පත් කර ඇත.
සැකකරුවන්ට දඩ මුදල් හා වන්දි ගෙවීමටද ගරු අධිකරණය විසින් නියෝග කර ඇත.

சில நபர்களால் சீருடையில் இருந்த இரண்டு பொலிஸ் அதிகாரிகள் தாக்கப்படும் விதத்தைக் காட்டும் காணொளியொன்று சமூக ஊடகங்களில் தற்போது பரவி வருகிறது.
குறித்த சம்பவம் 2025.03.31 அன்று நிலாவெளி பொலிஸ் பிரிவில் இடம்பெற்ற சம்பவமாகும்.
திருகோணமலைப் பிரிவினால் சம்பவம் தொடர்பாக சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள அறிக்கையின் பிரகாரம், நிலாவெளி பொலிஸ் பிரிவில் போக்குவரத்துக் கடமையில் ஈடுபட்டிருந்த இரண்டு பொலிஸ் அதிகாரிகள், அதிக சத்தத்துடன் வீதியில் பயணித்த மோட்டார் சைக்கிளொன்றை பொலிஸ் பொறுப்பில் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, அதனை பொலிஸ் நிலையத்திற்கு கொண்டு செல்வதற்கு நடவடிக்கை மேற்கொண்டபோது, சில நபர்கள் குறித்த இரண்டு அதிகாரிகளின் கடமைக்கு இடையூறு விளைவித்துள்ளனர்.
குற்றவியல் பலவந்தத்தைப் பிரயோகித்து, சட்டவிரோதமான கூட்டத்தின் உறுப்பினர்களாக செயற்பட்டு, பொலிஸ் அதிகாரிகளைத் தாக்கி காயங்களை ஏற்படுத்தியதுடன், அதிகாரிகளை சட்டவிரோதமாகத் தடுத்து வைத்து, சொத்துக்களுக்கும் பொலிஸ் சீருடைப் பாகங்களுக்கும் சேதம் விளைவித்த சம்பவம் தொடர்பாகவும் அறிக்கை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இச் சம்பவம் தொடர்பில் நிலாவெளி பொலிஸ் நிலையப் பொறுப்பதிகாரியினால் துரித விசாரணைகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு, சம்பவத்துடன் தொடர்புடைய 09 சந்தேகநபர்கள் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர். பொலிஸ் அதிகாரிகளைத் தாக்குவதற்காக சந்தேகநபர்கள் வந்திருந்த முச்சக்கர வண்டியொன்றும் பொலிஸ் பொறுப்பில் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது.
கைது செய்யப்பட்ட சந்தேகநபர்களுக்கு எதிராக திருகோணமலை கௌரவ நீதவான் நீதிமன்றத்தில் குற்றப் பத்திரிகை தாக்கல் செய்யப்பட்டதன் பின்னர், சந்தேகநபர்கள் குற்றவாளிகளாகத் தீர்ப்பளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
சந்தேகநபர்களுக்கு அபராதத் தொகையையும் இழப்பீட்டுத் தொகையையும் செலுத்துமாறும் கௌரவ நீதிமன்றம் உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.

A video showing a group of individuals assaulting two uniformed police officers is currently circulating on social media.
The incident in question occurred on 31 March 2025 within the Nilaveli Police Division.
According to a report submitted by the Trincomalee Division regarding the incident, two police officers who were performing traffic duties within the Nilaveli Police Division had taken into police custody a motorcycle that was being ridden on the road while emitting excessive noise. While the officers were in the process of taking the motorcycle to the police station, a group of individuals obstructed them in the performance of their duties.
It has been reported that the individuals, acting with criminal force and as members of an unlawful assembly, assaulted the police officers and caused them injuries, unlawfully restrained the officers, and caused damage to property and parts of their police uniforms.
Following an immediate investigation conducted by the Officer-in-Charge of the Nilaveli Police Station, nine suspects allegedly involved in the incident were arrested. A three-wheeler in which the suspects had travelled to the location to assault the police officers was also taken into police custody.
Following the filing of charges against the arrested suspects before the Trincomalee Magistrate’s Court, the suspects were convicted.
The Court also ordered the convicted persons to pay fines and compensation.
