The Office on Missing Persons (OMP) held a meeting with a visiting delegation from the European Parliament and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) as part of the Delegation’s Visit to Nepal and Sri Lanka.

The meeting was attended by the OMP Chairman Mr.Mahesh Katulanda , Executive Director Mr.Jeganathan Thathparan and board members Mr.Yogarajah and Mr. Krishnamoorthy. The visiting delegation included Members of the European Parliament Sven Simon and Ralf Seekatz together with policy and programme representatives.
Discussions focused on the progress and functioning of the OMP, its ongoing work in addressing the issue of missing persons, and its contribution to Sri Lanka’s transitional justice and reconciliation process. Participants exchanged views on strengthening efforts to support affected families, promote truth-seeking, and advance sustainable peace and social cohesion.
The delegation praised the endeavors carrying out by the OMP.

OMP Conducted Civil Society Organisation Meeting in Polonnaruwa District

The Office on Missing Person’s (OMP) Civil Society Organisation (CSO) Meeting – Polonnaruwa District was successfully concluded on 17 September 2026 at the Thamankaduwa Divisional Secretariat Office.

The meeting brought together representatives from civil society organisations, government officials, and other stakeholders to strengthen the dialogue, collaboration, and engagement on matters relating to missing persons and affected families.

The OMP appreciates the valuable participation and contributions of all stakeholders who supported the successful conduct of the meeting.
