Lions Club of Colombo Professionals had the Region Chairperson's visit on 25th Saturday, September 2026.

Region Chairperson's visit was combined with our 2nd General Meeting for the Lionistic Year 2026/2027.

Region Chairperson, Lion Makisha Jeyapragash MAF and her spouse Lion Pragash Jeyapragash MJF MAF were received by the President Lion Rusiri Amirthiah and her spouse Lion Ninesh Amirthiah MAF along with the members of Lions of Colombo Professionals in a grand reception.

It was a very successful and productive and professional meeting with above 75% members participation of Lions Club of Colombo Professionals.

Region Chairperson, Lion Makisha emphasised on membership growth and proper reporting and the future projects were discussed in length.

The meeting was hosted by Lion S. Renganathan PMJF MAF and Lion Helene Renganathan MAF, followed by a great fellowship and a sumptuous dinner at one of their new residence in Negombo.

Lions Club of Colombo Professionals conducted a Youth Day Project held on 16th August 2026, St. Mary's Vidyalaya, Ja-Ela with Upper Sunday School Children of St Mary's Church, Ja-Ela in commemoration of International Youth Day.
Thre total participation was more than 100 students and was a very successful project.
This project was chaired by PDG Lion Shirley Tissera and conducted by Club GST Chairperson, Lion Thushan Perera.
On behalf of Colombo Professionals wish to Thank our Region Chairperson Lion Makisha and her partner in service Lion Jeyaprakrash for their attendance too.
In conclusion Lion Thushan made this statement.....
"This programme is only the beginning in our Lionstic calendar of activities of the journey. As a club and Cabinet Officer, Together we can continue to create opportunities that empower young people, strengthen communities, and leave a lasting legacy of service to youth and Environment"

First Board & General Meeting was held on 14th August 2026 for the fiscal year 26/27, joined with Zone Chairman's visit, hosted by Lion Nanda and Lion Vinotha.

Zone Chairperson Lion R. Kannadasan, his gracious lady and 21 members were present to grace this occasion.

Further, As this month of August is dedicated to honour Lion Ladies, it was heartwarming to witness all Lions rising and gave a standing ovation to honour our Lions Ladies.

Lions Club of Colombo Professionals had it's installation meeting for the fiscal year 2026/2027 on 25th July 2026 at Lighthouse Alley, Chaithya Road, Colombo - 01 and graced by Past District Governor, Placidus M. Peter PMJF PMAF as the Chief Guest.

The installation meeting was followed by a great fellowship and dinner.

This installation meeting was hosted by out going President, Lion Sebastian P. Fernando and his gracious spouse Lion Imelda Fernando.
