අද මව්වරුන්ගේ දිනයයි. මෙලොවට බිහි වූ පසු පමණක් නො ව, කුස පිළිසිඳ ගත් දා සිට ම සෙනෙහස, දයාව, කරුණාව දක්වමින් තම පණ දෙවෙනි කොට දරුවාගේ ජීවිතය සුරක්ෂිත කරන මව්වරුන්ට වෙන ම දිනයක් අවශ්‍ය නැතැයි මම විශ්වාස කරමි.

විද්‍යාව හා තාක්ෂණය අතිශය දියුණු නූතන ලෝකයේ තවමත් මව්කිරි කෘත්‍රිමව නිපදවන තාක්ෂණයක් සොයා ගැනීමට නො හැකි වීම ම විස්මයකි. ආදරය, මෛත්‍රිය, කරුණාව, දයාව වැනි ගුණාංගවලින් පිරිපුන් 'මාතෘත්වය' උතුම් පදවියක් වන්නේ එබැවිනි.

දරුවාගේ පළමු ගුරුවරයා වන්නේ මවයි. මව්ඇකයෙන් මිදී ක්‍රමයෙන් සමාජගත වන දරුවා රටට වැඩදායී, යහපත් පුරවැසියකු බවට පත් කිරීමේ පළමු පියවර තබන්නේ ද මවයි. එහෙයින් මව්වරුන් වන ඔබ සැම ජාතියේ වීරවරියන් යැයි කීම අතිශයෝක්තියක් නො වේ.

එමෙන් ම කිසිදු ලාභ අපේක්ෂාවකින් තොර ව සියලු දුක්ඛදෝමනස්සයන් ඉවසා දරා, දරුවන්ට යහපත් අනාගතයක් උරුම කර දීමට ඔබ දරන අපරිමිත වෙහෙස ගෞරවයෙන් සිහිපත් කරන අතර ම, එම උතුම් අරමුණ සාක්ෂාත් වී, රට දැය සමය සුරකින දේශහිතෛෂී මතු පරපුරක් බිහි කිරීමට ඔබ සැමට හැකි වේවා!යි මම අද දිනයේ ප්‍රාර්ථනා කරමි.

இன்று அன்னையர் தினமாகும். பிறந்தது முதல் மாத்திரமல்ல, அவர்கள் கருவுற்ற தருணத்திலிருந்து தங்கள் உயிரைக் காப்பாற்றி, குழந்தையின் உயிரையும் காப்பாற்றுவதன் மூலம் தங்கள் அன்பையும் இரக்கத்தையும், கருணையையும் வெளிப்படுத்தும் தாய்மார்களுக்கு தனியொரு நாள் தேவையில்லை என்றே நான் நினைக்கிறேன்.

விஞ்ஞானம் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பம் மிகவும் மேம்பட்ட நவீன உலகில் இன்னும் தாய்ப்பால் உற்பத்தித் தொழில்நுட்பத்தைக் கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியாமல் உள்ளது. அன்பு, பாசம், கருணை போன்ற குணங்களின் மூலமே "தாய்மை" என்ற அந்தஸ்து கிடைத்துள்ளது.

குழந்தையின் முதல் குருவாக தாயே இருக்கிறார். நாட்டுக்கு நல்ல பலன் தரக்கூடிய, நல்ல குடிமகனாக மாறுவதற்கு முதல் படிநிலையை வைப்பதே அம்மா. அவ்வாறான தாய்மார்களாகிய நீங்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரும் தேசத்தின் வீராங்கனைகள் என்று குறிப்பிடலாம்.

தாயினால்எந்த லாபமும் எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுவதில்லை, அனைத்து துன்பங்களையும் தாங்கிக்கொண்டு, குழந்தைகளுக்கு நல்லதொரு எதிர்காலம் கிடைக்கப்பெற பாடுபடும் உங்களுக்கு எனது மரியாதை கலந்த வாழ்த்துக்களை தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன்.

Today is Mother's Day. I believe that the mothers who put their lives at stake for their child's life do not need another day to show their love, compassion and kindness, Not only after they are born but from the moment they are conceived.

Surprisingly, it is still impossible to find a technology that artificially produces breast milk in the modern world of science and technology. That is why 'motherhood' is a noble title full of attributes such as love, compassion and loving-kindness.

The mother is the child's first teacher. The mother takes the first step to make the child a productive and good citizen of the country who is freed from the mother's womb and is gradually socialised. Therefore it is no exaggeration to say that you all mothers are the nation's heroines.

I also respectfully recall your immense efforts to endure all adversity and inherit a better future for your children, irrespective of your own betterment. Today I wish you all the best in creating a patriotic future generation that will achieve that noble goal and save the country and the nation!
