Taking Science & Biotechnology to the Community!
The Sri Lanka Institute of Biotechnology (SLIBTEC) proudly joined the celebrations of National Science Week, with the main goal of bringing science and biotechnology closer to the public and supporting the dissemination of scientific knowledge within our community.
We were delighted to take part in the Science Walk organized by the Industrial Technology Institute (ITI), carrying a message on the importance of biotechnology, joining fellow science institutes of Sri Lanka and on a journey that highlighted the power of research, discovery, and innovation in shaping a better future.
SLIBTEC also welcomed two groups of university students, representing Digimeet Education and the Faculty of Engineering Technology, The Open University of Sri Lanka, offering them an immersive experience through insightful presentations and visits to the state-of-the-art laboratory facilities at SLIBTEC. Their curiosity and enthusiasm remind us why nurturing the next generation of scientists is so crucial for Sri Lankaβs biotech-driven future.
At SLIBTEC, we believe that science thrives when shared, and biotechnology becomes meaningful when it reaches the people it aims to transform.
