The Ministry of Mines & Energy is the statutory agency of government in charge of the mining sector.

The Ministry of Mines & Energy (MME) was established by an act of legislature to administer all activities related to mineral, water and energy resource exploration, coordination and development in the Republic of Liberia. Liberia has a free enterprise system modeled after that of the United States of America.
