Chief Observer Andreas Schieder and the team of EU EOM Liberia 2023 experts discussed the Missions recommendations on a round table with election experts of LEON, ECC, NEC, UNDP, Carter Center, USAID and other organisations.

Return visit of the EU EOM Liberia 2023 means meeting with various stakeholders in Monrovia, handing over the Final Report and discussing the mission´s recommendations. The team and Chief Observer Andreas Schieder met already with several politicians, the speaker of the House of Representatives and members of the Senate.

Journalists, diplomats and colleagues of various election observation organisations and institutions in attended the EU EOM Liberia 2023 Press Conference in Monrovia on Tuesday, where Chief Observer Andreas Schieder presented the Final Report of the Mission.

Chief Observer Andreas Schieder met President Joseph Nyumah Boakai and advisers in Monrovia. The EU EOM Liberia 2023 team presented the Mission´s Final Report and had a first conversation about Recommendations.

During its return visit in Liberia the EU EOM Liberia 2023 Chief Observer Andreas Schieder and his team of experts met the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sara Beysolow Nyanti for a working lunch in Monrovia. The Final Report and Recommendations were handed over to the Minister and discussed.

The EU EOM Liberia 2023 Chief Observer Andreas Schieder and a team of experts are on a return visit to Liberia and have met the National Elections Commission NEC today to deliver the Mission´s Final Report and Recommendations. The documents will be presented to the public on Tuesday during a press conference in Monrovia.

EU EOM Liberia 2023 Chief Observer Andreas Schieder arrived back in Liberia. During his return visit he will present the Final Report of the mission and meet various stakeholders to discuss recommendations.

Round table with Liberian fact-checking initiatives - Local Voices Liberia, The Stage Media, Campaigners against Misinformation and Disinformation. The Legal Analyst, Political Analyst and Social Media Analyst discussed possible recommendations in social media and digital rights field with the fact-checkers.

Experts of the EU EOM Liberia 2023 met with representatives of the Unity Party (UP) to discuss drafts of recommendations in the final report of the mission. The final report will be presented to the public and Liberian authorities next March.
