Asphalt Pavement Hits Grand Cape Mount County, Public Works Inspects Robertsport to Madina Road

ROBERTSPORT, GRAND CAPE MOUNT
FEBRUARY 17, 2026:

The Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Public Works, on Tuesday inspected ongoing asphalt pavement along the Robertsport - Madina Road in Grand Cape Mount County.

Leading a team of engineers-including the county’s Resident Engineer and a Staff from the Ministry’s Materials Testing Lab-Deputy Minister for Technical Services Prince Tambah said the current pavement work completed is approximately 2 kilometers, of a total length of 12.5 Kilometers.

According to Deputy Minister Tambah, the Ministry is confident that by August 2026 a total of 10 kilometers are expected to be paved as they continue to rigorously supervise the Contractor SSF this Dry Season.

He furthered: “We inherited the Robertsport to Madina Road Project at 20%, at which time major construction works including drainage structures and culvert lines were stalled”.

The Public Works Official averred that more accesses are being created, noting that when accesses are created, they create enabling environments for settlements to increase along the Corridor.

At the same time, the Team also visited other road projects including the Pavi Fort road corridor in Western Liberia.

The Liberian Government and the Legislature recently approved a $363.9 million, 25-year, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) road concession agreement with Pavi Fort-Al Associates, Inc. and Pavi Fort (S.L), Ltd..

The Deal covers the asphalt pavement, rehabilitation, and maintenance of approximately 255–313 kilometers of major road corridors in Western and Northern Liberia.

Concluding his inspection, Deputy Minister Tambah and Team also took off time to inspect community road projects in the VOA area.

NOTE: A Video Production follows next.

The recent social media banter over Ghana's iconic attire, the fugu, has reignited debates over African leaders wearing traditional dresses and rekindled consciousness about Africa's rich culture and heritage.

Here are some African leaders and the names of the traditional attire they are wearing.

First time in history Robertsport City road is seeing an asphalt road pavement. Don't lecture me about the negative parts of RESCUE if you're blind to see developments.
