🎉 Congratulations to Frederic Docquier on receiving the prestigious Hicks–Tinbergen Award!

🏆 This well-deserved recognition, awarded by the European Economic Association (EEA) on a bi-annual basis , highlights the outstanding contribution of his research on the historical development of Europe’s academic market.

✍ The article "The Academic Market and the Rise of Universities in Medieval and Early Modern Europe" co-authored by David de la Croix, Frederic Docquier, Alice Fabre and Robert Stelter, shed new light on how mobility and meritocracy among scholars helped shape the foundations of Europe’s long-term knowledge expansion.
