✈️ Three years after its last mission to Almaty and Astana, the Chambre de Commerce du Luxembourg is back in as part of its 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗞𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗸𝗵𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝘇𝗯𝗲𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻. As the largest economy in Central Asia and a key regional hub for trade, logistics and investment, Kazakhstan continues to offer growing opportunities for Luxembourg companies looking to expand their presence in the region.

The mission kicked off with the Luxembourg–Kazakhstan Business Forum, which brought together more than 40 participants from the Luxembourg and Kazakh business communities. The Forum provided an opportunity to continue developing connections with Kazakhstan’s business ecosystem and local partners, including BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan, Marc Bassot, Honorary Consul of Luxembourg in Kazakhstan, KAZAKH INVEST and Almaty Invest, while showcasing the expertise and activities of Luxembourg companies in the region.

🤝A series of targeted B2B meetings enabled participating companies to establish new contacts, explore potential partnerships and discuss concrete business opportunities in the Kazakh market.

The Luxembourg delegation also discovered Kazakhstan’s business and innovation ecosystem first-hand through visits providing valuable insights into logistics, technology, innovation and sustainability:
▪️ DAMU Logistics (leading 3PL operator in Central Asia),
▪️Almaty Hub (major regional IT and innovation centre affiliated with Astana Hub),
▪️ Alatau City Authority (major new planned urban megacity in Kazakhstan).

The programme in Almaty concluded with a networking reception, allowing participants to further develop the connections initiated throughout the mission.

A big thank you to our partners, participating companies and everyone who contributed to making these days in Almaty a success.

Next stop: Tashkent! 🇺🇿 Stay tuned for more updates.

🇪🇺 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Europe is facing growing geopolitical and economic pressure, while its businesses are increasingly held back by a fragmented Single Market and a growing administrative burden.

In his latest blog, Carlo Thelen calls for a fundamental shift: Europe must simplify, reduce unnecessary bureaucracy and restore competitiveness.
From the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation to the Pay Transparency Directive, individually legitimate objectives can become counterproductive when rules accumulate, implementation becomes overly complex and national “gold-plating” adds further layers of requirements.

The Official Trade Mission to China comes to an end!

The participants seized the opportunity to take a closer look at China’s latest developments, to engage directly with leading industry players and to explore potential areas for future cooperation.

Following the Shanghai–Luxembourg Business Seminar, the delegation visited the Embodied Intelligence Training Ground to explore AI-powered technologies and intelligent robotics in action.

The programme continued with visits to MOGOX and Shanghai International Automobile City, Alipay and Huawei, focusing on electric vehicles, smart mobility, digital payments, e-commerce, health technologies and autonomous driving.

Beyond these figures, the mission was about bringing people, companies and ideas together, creating the right setting for new connections and future cooperation. Conversations led to contacts, contacts to concrete discussions, and discussions to new possibilities for working together.

A sincere thank you to our Luxembourg and Chinese partners, companies and participants for making this mission possible.

À l’occasion de « It’s the economy, stupid!

On Monday, the Chambre de Commerce du Luxembourg, together with the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Poland and LuxDefence, kickstarted its Trade Fair Visit to MSPO, one of Europe’s leading and exhibitions.

🚀 The programme began with a pre-fair visit to FORT Kraków, a Polish centre for defence innovation and dual-use technologies, operating as the Polish NATO DIANA accelerator. On day 2, the delegation headed to MSPO to explore the latest developments shaping the defence and security sector and engage with key industry representatives. Following an exchange at the French Pavilion with the Land and Airland Defence and Security Industries Association, GICAT, on current priorities, industry trends and areas for cooperation between and , participants visited the Telesystem Group booth before attending a conference on defence and industrial financing covering state budgets, EU funding and the financial-sector perspectives.

The day concluded with a delegation dinner offered by the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Poland.

Today, the programme started with a breakfast at the AP LUX booth, followed by an exchange at the ACADA - Atlantic Canada Aerospace & Defence Association stand, providing insights into the Canadian aerospace and defence ecosystem and opportunities for transatlantic partnerships.
