Luxembourg Tourism Awards

On November 13, the Luxembourg Tourism Awards celebrated those who push back boundaries, dare to innovate, and turn every stay into an unforgettable experience. Five projects and two volunteers were recognised with awards.

The 'Associations of Interests Binsfeld-Holler-Breidfeld' was founded in 1977. Fred Huet joined the board the following year and was dedicated to the interests of the villagers. After an eleven-year break, he rejoined the board in 1996. Since then, he has been a key figure, and the association's board would not be the same without him. He became Vice-President in 2005 and took on the role of President five years later.

Dinner Hopping.lu is a unique concept in Luxembourg and the Greater Region: a travelling dinner aboard a converted American school bus. This extraordinary experience combines mobility, gastronomy and sightseeing in a welcoming, original and immersive format. The project won the award for Public’s Favourite.

Since 1987, Romain Kleer has been a pioneering volunteer in Useldange. His involvement in tourism began in 1990, when he joined the Tourist Information and Tourism Association. Thirty-four years later, in 2024, this association was integrated into the non-profit organization “Kultur- a Buergfrënn Useldeng”, where he continues to ensure the implementation of the objectives of both the association and the non-profit organization.

On November 13, the Luxembourg Tourism Awards celebrated those who push back boundaries, dare to innovate, and turn every stay into an unforgettable experience. Five projects and two volunteers were recognised with awards.

Since June 2025, the new European Museum has presented itself as a modern, interactive space dedicated to the history and present of borders and the Schengen Agreement. The new overall concept aims to convey the historical background, political significance and current challenges of the Schengen area in a clear and modern way. A key part of the refurbishment is the return of the passenger ship “Prinzessin Marie-Astrid”, which was used to sign the agreements in 1985 and 1990. The project won the award for Deserving Municipality.
