Deputy Commander-in-Chief Receives the Turkish Ambassador

The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, received tonday the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Libya, Güven Begeç, at his office at the General Command headquarters in the city of Benghazi.

Reopening of the Greek Consulate in the City of Benghazi

The Greek Consulate in the city of Benghazi was officially reopened yesterday,, in the presence of the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives, Youssef Al-Agouri, the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Gerapetritis, and the Secretary-General of the General Command of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Khairy Al-Tamimi.
On the sidelines of the reopening ceremony, the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee held a meeting with the Greek Foreign Minister, attended by the Secretary-General of the General Command, during which both sides reaffirmed the depth of the longstanding historical ties between the two countries.
For his part, the Greek Foreign Minister emphasized his country’s commitment to supporting Libya’s stability and unity, as well as backing the legitimate aspirations of the Libyan people. He also highlighted the importance of enhancing parliamentary-level cooperation between the two nations.(Lana)

The Commander‑in‑Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Abu al‑Qassim Haftar, received delegations offering Eid al‑Fitr congratulations at the Headquarters of the General Staff in Rajma. The reception was attended by Deputy Commander‑in‑Chief, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar; Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Khalid Haftar; and National Security Adviser Abdelrazek al‑Nadhouri.

Libyan Prime Minister Issues Decision to Establish a Security Agency

The Prime Minister of Libya, Osama Hamad, has issued a decision to establish a Security Inspection and Electronic Detection Agency, which will be affiliated with the Ministry of Interior and will have a legal personality and independent financial status.
The decision states that the agency will be managed by a President and a Deputy, whose appointments will be made by a decision from the Minister of Interior. The agency's headquarters will be located in the city of Benghazi, and it may establish branches or offices in other cities or regions by decision of the Minister of Interior based on a proposal from the agency's President.
