Dr. Leila Benali, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, took part on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in Rabat, in the workshop “Stories of Women Who Know No Limits,” organized by the association Mentor’Elles.

On this occasion, the Minister shared her professional experience and personal journey with the participants, highlighting the key milestones that have shaped her career, the challenges she has faced, and the lessons learned over years of work and responsibility.

Through its programs and initiatives, the Mentor’Elles association seeks to support women in achieving their professional aspirations and realizing their ambitions by providing spaces for guidance, inspiration, training, and networking. This is achieved through a network of volunteers and experts, enabling women to make informed and conscious career choices.

شاركت د.ليلى بنعلي، وزيرة الانتقال الطاقي والتنمية المستدامة، يوم الثلاثاء 2 يونيو 2026 بالرباط، في أشغال ورشة “قصص نساء لا يعرفن المستحيل”، التي نظمتها جمعية Mentor’Elles.

وخلال هذه المناسبة، تقاسمت السيدة الوزيرة مع المشاركات تجربتها المهنية ومسارها الشخصي، مستعرضة أبرز المحطات التي طبعت مسيرتها، والتحديات التي واجهتها، والدروس التي استخلصتها على امتداد سنوات من العمل والمسؤولية.

وتسعى جمعية Mentor’Elles، من خلال برامجها ومبادراتها، إلى مواكبة النساء في تحقيق تطلعاتهن المهنية وتجسيد طموحاتهن، عبر توفير فضاءات للتوجيه والإلهام والتكوين والتشبيك، بالاعتماد على شبكة من المتطوعات والمتطوعين والخبراء، بما يمكن النساء من اتخاذ خيارات مهنية واعية.

Dr. Leila Benali, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, presided over the Board of Directors of the National School of Mineral Industry of Rabat on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in Rabat. The meeting was dedicated to reviewing the institution’s activities for the 2024–2025 academic year, assessing its institutional performance, and examining its future development prospects.

During this session, the annual report was presented and the financial statements for 2025, as well as the draft budget for 2026, were approved.

The Board further examined the Master’s program entitled “Green Hydrogen, Sustainable Energy and Decarbonization,” as part of aligning the training offer with ongoing transformations in the energy sector and labor market needs.

On this occasion, the Minister highlighted the important role of the school in training skilled professionals capable of accompanying economic and energy transitions, commending its efforts to promote excellence and innovation.

ترأست د.ليلى بنعلي، وزيرة الانتقال الطاقي والتنمية المستدامة، يوم الثلاثاء 02 يونيو 2026 بالرباط، أشغال المجلس الإداري للمدرسة الوطنية العليا للمعادن بالرباط، والذي خُصص لدراسة حصيلة أنشطة المؤسسة برسم السنة الجامعية 2024-2025، وتقييم أدائها المؤسساتي، وكذا بحث آفاق تطويرها المستقبلية.
وخلال هذا الاجتماع، تم الاطلاع على التقرير السنوي والمصادقة على الحصيلة المالية لسنة 2025 ومشروع ميزانية 2026.
وتدارس المجلس كذلك مشروع ماستر "الهيدروجين الأخضر، الطاقة المستدامة وإزالة الكربون"، في إطار ملاءمة العرض التكويني مع التحولات التي يشهدها قطاع الطاقة ومتطلبات سوق الشغل. وبهذه المناسبة، أكدت السيدة الوزيرة على أهمية دور المدرسة في تكوين كفاءات مواكِبة للتحولات الاقتصادية والطاقية، منوهة بجهودها في ترسيخ التميز والابتكار.

On the sidelines of the "GLOBSEC 2026" Forum held in Prague from 21 to 23 May 2026, Dr. Leila Benali, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, participated in the GLOBSEC Young Leaders Forum.

The session provided an opportunity for an open conversation between the Minister and participants on the challenges facing the world amid successive geopolitical crises, to secure and diversify energy supply and accelerate the green transition.

During her remarks, Dr. Benali stressed that what the world is witnessing today bears no resemblance to ordinary cyclical crises, adding that the institutions, rules, and corridors that will define the path of future generations are being rewritten now, placing an unprecedented historical responsibility on tomorrow's leaders.

In this context, the Minister called on youth to equip themselves with skills that go beyond narrow specializations, enabling them to work simultaneously toward achieving convergence between politics, economics, technology, and diplomacy, while also building more flexible institutions capable of keeping pace with the accelerating rate of geopolitical transformation.

على هامش منتدى "غلوبسيك 2026" المنعقد ببراغ خلال الفترة الممتدة من 21 إلى 23 ماي 2026، شاركت د. ليلى بنعلي، وزيرة الانتقال الطاقي والتنمية المستدامة، في منتدى غلوبسيك للقادة الشباب.
وقد شكل هذا اللقاء فرصة لحوار مفتوح بين السيدة الوزيرة والمشاركين حول التحديات التي يعرفها العالم في ظل الأزمات الجيوسياسية المتوالية من أجل تأمين وتنويع إمدادات الطاقة وتسريع التحول الأخضر.
وخلال مداخلتها، أكدت د. بنعلي أن ما يشهده العالم اليوم لا يُشبه الأزمات الدورية المعتادة، مضيفة أن المؤسسات والقواعد والممرات التي ستُحدّد مسار الأجيال القادمة يعاد رسمها الآن، مما يلقي مسؤولية تاريخية غير مسبوقة على عاتق قادة الغد.
وفي هذا الإطار دعت السيدة الوزيرة الشباب إلى التسلح بكفاءة تتجاوز التخصص الضيق، تمكنهم من العمل في آن واحد على تحقيق التقائية بين السياسة والاقتصاد والتكنولوجيا والدبلوماسية، إلى جانب بناء مؤسسات أكثر مرونة وقادرة على مواكبة وتيرة التحول الجيوسياسي المتسارع.

On the sidelines of the “GLOBSEC 2026” Forum held in Prague from May 21 to 23, 2026, Dr. Leila Benali, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, held a meeting with the Czech Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Karel Havlíček Karel Havlíček.

During the meeting, both sides highlighted the positive momentum characterizing bilateral relations and expressed their shared ambition to elevate the partnership toward a more advanced strategic cooperation. This includes the development of green industrial value chains linking Africa and Europe, with Morocco positioned as a key hub in this framework.

In this regard, discussions focused on prospects for cooperation and increased investment in areas such as batteries, power grids, artificial intelligence in energy systems, critical minerals, as well as cooperation in the integration of energy systems.

Both parties agreed to continue coordination in order to define a joint action program, in preparation for the first joint economic commission between the two countries.

على هامش منتدى “غلوبسيك 2026” المنعقد ببراغ خلال الفترة الممتدة من 21 إلى 23 ماي 2026، عقدت د. ليلى بنعلي، وزيرة الانتقال الطاقي والتنمية المستدامة لقاء مع نائب الوزير الأول التشيكي السيد كارل هافليتشيك Karel Havlíček.
وخلال هذا اللقاء، نوه الجانبان بالزخم الإيجابي الذي تعرفه العلاقات الثنائية وعن الطموح المشترك للارتقاء بالشراكة نحو تعاون استراتيجي متقدم، يشمل بناء سلاسل قيمة صناعية خضراء تربط إفريقيا بأوروبا، مع جعل المغرب منصة محورية في هذا المسار.
وفي هذا الإطار، تم التطرق إلى آفاق التعاون وتعزيز الاستثمارات في مجالات البطاريات، والشبكات الكهربائية، والذكاء الاصطناعي في مجال الطاقة، والمعادن الحرجة، إضافة إلى التعاون في مجال تكامل المنظومات الطاقية.
واتفق الجانبان على مواصلة التنسيق من أجل تحديد برنامج عمل مشترك وذلك في أفق التحضير لعقد أول لجنة اقتصادية مشتركة بين البلدين.

Dr Leila Benali, Minister for Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, took part in the ‘GlobSec 2026’ forum held in the Czech capital, Prague, from 21 to 23 May 2026, where she attended a panel discussion entitled: “Shockwaves Across Energy Markets and the Rase for Advantage”.

During this session, the Minister outlined the Kingdom of Morocco’s strategic vision, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, which is centred on the development of renewable energy, the promotion of self-generation of electricity and energy efficiency; as well as strengthening regional integration through the development of international partnerships that enhance energy security and contribute to the responsible management of maritime straits, in full compliance with international law.

The Minister also highlighted the potential of the national mining sector and Morocco’s position as a key player in value chains linked to clean energy, citing in this context Morocco’s leadership in the phosphate sector and emphasising the importance of the Africa-Atlantic Initiative as a comprehensive strategic vision for strengthening energy interconnections and regional integration between Africa and Europe.

The Minister concluded her remarks by emphasising that the Kingdom of Morocco today embodies a model of a state capable of being a genuine actor and a reliable partner, and of contributing effectively to building global security on the basis of partnership, trust and respect for international law.
