This year’s Europe Day carries special significance as we celebrate 40 years since the first official Europe Day celebrations, as well as the introduction of the adoption of the EU flag and anthem as shared symbols of European unity.
At Enabel, this spirit of unity continues to inspire our daily work.
Together with the European Union and in close partnership with our partners, we turn shared European values into concrete action - across Africa and beyond.

🤝 As we prepare to hand over the presidency of the Practitioners’ Network in the coming weeks, we are proud to have contributed to stronger and more coordinated European international cooperation efforts. Through the Network, we have worked hand in hand with fellow European actors to advance the approach on the ground and deliver sustainable impact where it matters most.
While our presidency comes to an end, we remain fully engaged in the collective European effort ahead.

Les partenariats publics-privés internationaux peuvent-ils réussir ?
C’est le pari que nous avons relevé ensemble avec le Port of Antwerp-Bruges, l'OFPPT et Enabel dans la région de l'Oriental dans le cadre du programme Maroc Horizons Emploi.
Parti de l’idée d’accompagner les futurs professionnels du port de Nador West Med, le projet a finalement permis de :
✨ Former une première équipe de formateurs pour soutenir les métiers portuaires dans les principaux ports du pays
🌍 Combiner expertise théorique et immersion pratique, entre le Maroc et Anvers
💡 Aligner les compétences avec les besoins concrets du secteur
Un pari ambitieux… et des résultats bien réels !

Le Programme Maroc Horizons Emploi 🇲🇦🇧🇪 a tenu son deuxième Comité de Pilotage (CoPIL), présidé par وزارة الإدماج الاقتصادي، والمقاولة الصغرى، والتشغيل والكفاءات en présence de l’ensemble des acteurs engagés pour l’amélioration de l’employabilité, l’insertion sur le marché du travail et l’innovation publique, notamment, وزارة الاقتصاد والمالية, الجماعات الترابية - Collectivités Territoriales, Micepp - وزارة الاستثمار و التقائية و تقييم السياسات العمومية, Anapec, OFPPT les wilayas et conseils régionaux de : Conseil de la Région de l'Oriental مجلس جهة الشرق جهة سوس ماسة - Région Souss Massa Région Marrakech Safi -جهة مراكش آسفي, acteurs clés de la mise en œuvre!

✨ Cette rencontre a permis de renforcer la coordination 🤝 et l’impact 📈 des actions en faveur de l’employabilité 💼.

♀️ International Women’s Day 2026: Rights. Justice. Action.
🌍 Did you know that worldwide, women enjoy only 64% of the legal rights granted to men… and that at the current pace, it will take 286 years to close this gap?
This year’s official theme, “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL women and girls,” reminds us that rights on paper are not enough: they must be respected, implemented, and accessible to all. Every woman and every girl deserves to claim her rights within justice systems that work for them, not against them.

💪 At Enabel, we are committed to ensuring that justice, protection and equality become a reality for every woman, in every community.
Among our initiatives, the IMPAWLA project in Tanzania, which aims to improve access to justice for women through legal aid, is one concrete example. In partnership with the Tanzanian NGO LSF and the European Union, nearly 500 legal workers support 185 local organisations to facilitate access to community-based legal assistance and accompany survivors of violence towards the competent institutions.

The result? More than 30,000 cases of gender-based violence involving women and girls have been reported, and more than 10.2 million women and girls have accessed legal information about their rights and the services available when they are violated. More women are speaking out, seeking support, and trust in protection mechanisms is growing — clear signs of systemic change taking root.

Because equality cannot wait 286 years. The time to act is now.
