During a recent Russian attack on Kyiv, a young deer escaped from the wild and was found hiding under the car. He was severely stressed and had wounds.

Volunteers have rescued the fawn and he’s now at .ua. His condition seems to be severe and he’s currently undergoing IV treatment. UAnimals have already contacted the rescue centre and suggested help.

Our hearts are with all people and animals who are suffering from war in Ukraine 💔

🌍 On May 25, the Youth Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, with the support of the Department of Africa and Regional African Organizations of the MFA, organized an international online dialogue between Ukrainian youth and representatives of national youth councils from African countries dedicated to the implementation of the global Youth, Peace and Security agenda.

The event became a unique platform for direct dialogue between Ukraine and countries of the African continent. Participants discussed practical mechanisms for implementing the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250, institutional youth participation in security processes, the role of youth councils in shaping public policy, and responses to contemporary global challenges — from hybrid threats to digital disinformation.

Representatives of youth councils and civil society from various African countries joined the discussion, including:
▫️ Millicent Sethaile — Board Chair of the Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC);
▫️ Alhafiz Hassan Ahamat — youth activist, Secretary-General of Action Pour la Solidarité et le Soutien aux Couches Vulnérables, and Country Director of Global Peace Chain in Chad;
▫️ Opembe M. Amuko — Chairman of the Informed Ballot Movement (IBM).

The event marked an important step toward strengthening Ukraine’s partnership with African countries and opened new opportunities for international youth cooperation in the field of peace and security.

We would also like to express our special gratitude to Liubov Abravitova , Director of the Department of Africa and Regional African Organizations of the MFA of Ukraine, and Oleksiy Syvak, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Botswana, for their support and contribution to the organization of the event.

💬 "Since the onset of this war, we realised that our resources are not equal and we cannot prevail in a direct confrontation.

Instead, Ukraine spent years developing asymmetric solutions. Now we see them playing out in full – on the battlefield, in diplomacy, and in cognitive warfare.

On the land, Russia’s manpower is no longer a decisive advantage thanks to Ukrainian drones and new tactics. Russia’s advances have stalled. Ukraine stabilised the frontline and holds the line.

In the sea, the entire Russian Black Sea Fleet has been either destroyed or neutralised thanks to naval drones. Its remains hide in faraway bases, but we get them even there.

In the sky, thousands of cost-effective interceptor drones are neutralising 92% of Russian combat drones. The goal now is to develop our own protection from ballistics together with European partners. This is a matter of strategic autonomy.

In economy, Ukraine’s long-range sanctions are effectively crippling Russia’s war machine by daily strikes on legitimate military targets of up to 2,000 kilometres inside Russia. There are no safe places in Russia anymore. Probably not something Putin saw coming when he attacked Ukraine.

We take the same asymmetric approach in diplomacy. When the world expressed deep concerns over the Iranian strikes in the Gulf, Ukraine acted. We showed not only to the Gulf states but to the whole world Ukraine’s new role as a reliable security partner.

We are deepening ties with countries from Latin America to Africa, South Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Indo-Pacific, where Russia’s influence gradually fades.

In energy, horrific Russian bombardments over the past winters taught us to decentralise and build resilient systems and approaches. We are now ready to share this experience with others.

In digital sphere, Ukraine is one of the most advanced nations on the planet: from digital public services to mil-tech and the use of AI and big data in governance. It has become one of our export positions.

At the end of the day, it turns out that David actually has cards", Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

Today, on the International Day of UN Peacekeepers, we honour everyone who has dedicated their lives to protecting peace around the world 🇺🇳

For more than three decades, Ukraine has been a reliable contributor to international peacekeeping missions. Since our first participation in 1992, nearly 45,000 Ukrainian servicemen and servicewomen have taken part in more than 27 UN and international operations across the Balkans, Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia.

Ukrainian peacekeepers helped protect civilians, clear mines, restore infrastructure, transport humanitarian aid, and save lives.

Many of those who once served in peacekeeping missions abroad are now defending Ukraine against Russia's full-scale invasion. Today, Ukrainian soldiers are fighting for the peace, freedom, and security of their own country and people.

We are grateful to all Ukrainian peacekeepers and honour the memory of those who gave their lives in peacekeeping missions.

The decision has been made.

37 states officially approved the agreement necessary to establish the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine and move it towards operation in The Hague. This is a milestone for international justice.

The Tribunal is built on a principle established after the Second World War: those who unleash wars of aggression bear personal responsibility for that decision. Russia’s war against Ukraine did not happen by itself. It was planned, authorised and executed by specific individuals.

They must be held accountable. Because lasting peace is impossible without justice – and aggression must never remain without consequences.

❗️"The recent incursion of a Russian drone into the Romanian airspace and its explosion in the residential area of Galaț proved once again that Russian aggression poses a real threat to the Black Sea region and the entire Europe.

Strengthening support to Ukraine and increasing pressure on the aggressor, including through tougher sanctions, remain critical – to restore peace and security in the region.

Bolstering Ukraine’s air defense is also a strategic task – to protect not only our country, but also reduce risks for our neighbours.

Ukraine stands firmly by Romania. We are ready to work closely together to strengthen protection from such threats", Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
