The U.S. Mission in Morocco is closed today in observance of Columbus Day.

On October 12, 1492, Christopher Columbus set sail on a journey across the Atlantic that reshaped the world, connecting continents forever. From the rich global trade of the “Columbian exchange” to the foundations of modern nations, his voyage marked a defining turning point in human history.

تغلق البعثة الأمريكية في المغرب أبوابها اليوم بمناسبة “يوم كولومبوس”.
في الثاني عشر من أكتوبر عام 1492م، أبحر كريستوفر كولومبوس في رحلة عبر المحيط الأطلسي غيرت وجه العالم وربطت بين القارات إلى الأبد. ومن التبادل العالمي الثري المعروف بـ “التبادل الكولومبي” إلى وضع أسس الدول الحديثة، شكلت رحلته نقطة تحول حاسمة في تاريخ البشرية.

Congratulations to Morocco on being selected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture as one of seven countries to receive a new five-year Food for Progress award!

The USDA award to Morocco of up to $33.1 million aims to strengthen its food safety and livestock sectors. Supported by the sale of 33,000 metric tons of U.S.-grown soybean meal and wheat, the project will be implemented by Counterpart International and is expected to benefit approximately 5,000 people.

As we celebrate 250 years of friendship, we look forward to strengthening our economic partnership and growing together for years to come.

تهانينا للمملكة المغربية على اختيارها من قبل وزارة الزراعة الأمريكية كإحدى الدول السبع التي حصلت على منحة برنامج "الغذاء من أجل التقدم" الجديدة لمدة خمس سنوات!

تهدف هذه المنحة المقدمة من وزارة الزراعة الأمريكية للمغرب، والتي تصل قيمتها إلى 33.1 مليون دولار، إلى تعزيز قطاعي السلامة الغذائية والثروة الحيوانية. وسيتم تنفيذ المشروع، المدعوم ببيع 33,000 طن متري من كسب صويا والقمح المزروعين في الولايات المتحدة، بواسطة منظمة Counterpart International، ومن المتوقع أن يستفيد منه نحو 5,000 شخص.

وبينما نحتفل بمرور 250 عاماً من الصداقة، نتطلع إلى تعزيز شراكتنا الاقتصادية والنمو سوياً للسنوات القادمة.

Ambassador Duke Buchan and Deputy Chief of Mission Benjamin Ziff welcomed new Embassy arrivals and Moroccan partners for an evening celebrating the enduring strength of the U.S.-Morocco partnership and nearly 250 years of friendship between our two countries. 🇺🇸🇲🇦
