What are its properties?
Being both powerful antiviral 🦠, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-infectious, antiseptic and immunostimulant; it is also well known as an expectorant, respiratory decongestant, relaxant and improves sleep 😴.
How do the active ingredients of Ravintsara essential oil act on our body?
The active molecules act on the immune and respiratory systems. 🌡

When can we use Ravintsara?
It is advised in case of viral infection 🦠 , bronchitis, rhino-pharyngitis, sinusitis, viral hepatitis, bacterial infection 🦠, cholera, cold 🥶, muscular tiredness 💪, articular pains and of dermatose.
How to use it? 🧑🔬
It can be swallowed undiluted in small quantities (1 to 2 drops) or diluted. For these relaxing properties or against dermatoses, it can be mixed with vegetable oil for a massage, or applied directly to the temples, the wrists or the tips of the feet.
For its respiratory relieving, expectorant, antiviral and antibacterial activities, it can be diffused or directly inhaled.

Chemical constituents:
- Oxides: 1,8-Cineole (> 61%).
- Monoterpenes: Sabinene ( < 15%), α and β-pinene (< 14%), L-limonene (< 4%),
- Alcohol: α-terpineol (< 7%)
- Phenol: Terpinen-4-ol
- Esters: α-terpenyl acetate
- Sesquiterpene: β-caryophyllene

Chemotype: 1,8-Cineole, Sabinene and α-terpineole

Odor: Top note, slightly medical like Eucalyptus, slightly sweet with a fruity note intensity equal to 3.
