You can also help by avoiding sharing imagery, video, or other media featuring humans touching or petting lemurs as this may inadvertently promote lemurs as pets. The growing illegal trade in wild animals to supply the exotic pet industry can have serious consequences on wild lemur populations and conservation efforts.
