THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN MYANMAR CONVENES NETWORKING ENGAGEMENT FOR FILIPINO BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS
YANGON, 18 September 2026 - The Philippine Embassy in Myanmar convened a networking engagement for Filipino business professionals bringing together Filipinos working across the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), importing, distribution, and related sectors.
The gathering, the first of its kind convened by the Embassy specifically for Filipino professionals in these sectors, provided a platform for participants to establish professional connections, exchange experiences, and share perspectives on business and market developments in Myanmar.
During the engagement, the Embassy recognized the valuable role of Filipino professionals working in Myanmar’s private sector and the first-hand perspectives they bring on market developments, consumer trends, regulatory and trade matters, supply-chain considerations, and potential business opportunities.
The activity builds on the Embassy’s earlier engagements with the business sector on 8 February and 28 March 2026, which provided opportunities to exchange views with Filipino business professionals on market developments and their experiences working in Myanmar. It also complements discussions during the 5th Philippines-Myanmar Foreign Policy Consultations (FPC) on 18 May 2026. Building on these earlier initiatives, the Embassy continues to provide avenues for Filipino business professionals to connect, exchange perspectives, and explore opportunities for peer-to-peer and potential business-to-business linkages.
The networking engagement reaffirms the Embassy’s continuing efforts to strengthen its engagement with the Filipino community in Myanmar and to provide platforms that foster professional connections, information-sharing, and opportunities for collaboration. END
